  1. Think if this single residential tower sparks another Uptown style area next to Downtown. Like it would seriously connect the East End with Downtown.
  2. I'm personally all about balance. I think the design of this building will balance out with the residential building across from Discovery Green.
  3. I couldn't find the original post on this development. I parked across the street to go in to work this morning and I saw two gentlemen surveying the site. One of those gentlemen was entering the abandoned restaurant. I think this is starting up. I should've talked to one of the guys but I was in a rush.
  4. Yeah I don't get that opinion either. I think this building is awesome.
  5. If this city wants some respect then it needs to respect itself first. I don't understand why damn ugly Christmas lighting is still allowed anywhere! Downtown should be glowing at nite. It should be a place people are wanting to be.
  6. If this gets built then you can expect a ton of more development to follow. You always need just one developer to take the plunge and the rest follow. So this is actually pretty big if this gets built.
  7. Light Rails? And how is it a game of Russian Roulette? Follow the traffic signs like anywhere else and you should be just fine. If you don't like the idea of rail running thru the middle of a street then go to Boston or even Denver and realize it's a normal part of life in those cities. I can't believe we allowed the city to decay so badly.
  8. Oh wow really? I didn't know something was going up there! Are they putting it up now or what?
  9. One bad experience shouldn't keep her from going back. The place seems to be doing well.
  10. This is a massively planned project. Now that the city has a plan for how it's going to grow, I wonder how this will integrate with downtown.
  11. It took this city long enough to realize how much art brings things to life. Very excited that more monies will be distributed to promote artwork throughout the city.
  12. If the story is true that some idiot hit the scaffolding and drove off, I hope they nail that person.
  13. Saw Singing in the Rain this past weekend at the school. Amazing students, amazing performance... I can't wait for these kids to move downtown. It just seems like the perfect move.
  14. They aren't destroying much. I did some work a while back on this building, and it's like stepping in to a basement it's so closed in. I'm excited for the redevelopment because this building is a bit of an eyesore to the south view of downtown.
