Pierce to check out the front and saws these collapsing townhomes right next to them. I don't think anyone ever moved as I think they instantly received water damage to them. They are now falling apart, the roof collapsed on the front portion. I wonder which shitty company built these water traps? In my riding around inside the loop I see hundreds of these cheap townhomes who have seen lots of water damage because of cheap construction and fly by night builders. The townhomes next to the new BBQ place on Leeland have major water damage and are undergoing major repair. DON"T BUY STUCCO TOWHOMES. This is not the climate for stucco. Properties are owned by a different company than built them, so hopefully there will be some movement to demo and rebuild. I don't like stucco here at all. Talked with a guy about what they were doing and he said they were going to fix them all. Seems hard for me to believe that these can be rehabbed. They have a ton of water damage. The townhomes in the 1700 block of Montrose sat half-completed for many years before someone finally finished them and put them on the market. hindesky Posted May 5, 2021 Author Share Posted May 5, 2021 I talked with a worker, he said he was exposing the damaged areas and someone else walking by said that a city inspector would determine the work needed to rehab the townhomes if they were repairable. I still don't think they will be able to fix these IMHO. Notice the metal pipe holding up the corner with the most damage. Looks like it could collapse any second. These pics are from the Stanford St side. The pic I took of the northern townhome looks like it's "The Leaning Tower of Pisa". Water rot is beyond repair according to my honest inspector's license. They have a hole which looks up into the floor above on one of the Stanford St. While I was taking these pics some guy driving by stopped and he said the developer is fighting lawsuits by the investors. Guy claims the developer is trying to save his ass by patching it up and tying it up in the lawsuit.
