Since most of us are obviously interested in architecture and the subsequent built environment here in greater Houston, I'm curious what everyone does for a living (or if they are retired or students etc.)

Perhaps this has been asked before?  I'm not sure?  Thanks.

I put architect even though I'm technically a landscape architect...close enough.

^You guys are interesting.  I've always loved looking at landscape architectural work and publications.

Full disclosure I'm just a "reglar" arch_e-tect

Engineer.  Although I am kinda "mad" the poll lumped architects and engineers together.  Not because I would't want to be associated with architects, just wanted to see how many actual architects are on the site.

^Sorry about that.  I should have put engineer in a seperate catagory - as I'll venture a guess that many people who voted "other" are engineers in some other field.  If you can't find an engineer in this town you aren't in this town... it would seem.

Data warehouse developer.  Usually just say "developer" but i've found that non-info tech people get the wrong impression so i have to spell it out.

Don't worry, I know what you mean as I do some of that myself. I usually say developer as well.
