LosFeliz
I was in town last few weeks and cannot believe Lofts at the Ballpark is closed down. We went to Little Woodrow's before the UH/Rice game and rode the rail to TDECU and I had no idea. Also didn't know Lucky's had closed. It was very sad to see the shape of the land between Dynamo Stadium and the Lofts. Dead grass and trash.Ā I'm assuming this is all a result of the TDOT? It's a damn shame that Texans keep allowing the shady organization to ruin our largest cities in the name of progress for the commuter.Ā

tigereye
On 7/26/2022 at 8:06 AM, wilcal said: Replat application has been submitted for the stadium. The only thing that has changed from the 2010 replat is the building line along Emancipation. They originally had a 25' BL, but now with TOD they qualify for a 0' BL and they likely already meet the pedestrian realm requirements to do so as it is currently built.Ā If I had to guess, they are planning on expanding the restaurant area along Emancipation:Ā They played with the idea of this being open before and after games at one point. The orange wall of the stadium is probably 25' off of the ROW, so if this replat is approved, then they would be able to built approx up to the edge of the sidewalk. 25'X1000' of frontage along Emancipation means you are granted 25k more buildable area Construction updateĀ Given how far the new East Club space will extend into the east concourse, theyāre probably clearing out space to expand the concourse into the patio area, around the east club space structure. This is similar to how Toyota Centerās west concourse flows around its courtside club.Ā Ā Edited December 16, 2022 by tigereye

The top floor of the headquarters will have an event space with an outdoor terrace looking into the stadium and an indoor lounge. The space will be able to hold around 150 people and will be used for both internal and external events prior to matches, after games and on non-game days. āWe are eager to have a new home that is a place that our staff, our visitors and our players can call their own,ā OāNeill said. OāNeill said she wouldnāt go as far as calling the new space an entertainment district, similar to what theĀ Houston Astros are hoping to break ground on this fall. She said thereās already a natural entertainment space in EaDo surrounding the clubās stadium. However, she said building out an entertainment hub in the future is an option for the club. āI donāt know if I would call it [an entertainment district] just yet, but weāre certainly looking at ways to program outside of the stadium with the intention of drawing people into the stadium,ā OāNeill said. The club is working with Houston-based Harvey Builders as its construction company and Houston-based Abel Design Group as its architect for the new headquarters."
