^^^ why on earth, would they construct a brand new TEAM STORE waaaaaaaaaaaay in the BACK of the complex?  shouldn't it be at the FRONT of the complex for all to see and patronize it?  STRANGER THINGS...

I actually don't mind the location. I think activating more sides of the ballpark than just the front is better for downtown.

^^^ i see your point here.  however, is it better overall for business?  the back of the ballpark often resembles a no-mans land.  no one thinks to journey back there unless they are employees/players entering the rear entrance to the ballpark.  just my two cents...

That’s actually a popular location for fans…home run alley…the home run pump…etc.

If I remember correctly the Rangers also had a big team store in the outfield section of the old ballpark.

The Astros have more than one team store in the stadium.  Will they keep the current location open?

More interior renovations once the season is over. Same company that replaced Tal's Hill and added more seating in that area.

Hmmm..wonder what they have in mind…perhaps replacement of old fashioned scoreboard with electronic version?  There is continuous noise about this…

MSA’s body of work at sports venues (including at MMP) has been bar & restaurant space. So it’s gotta be something along those lines…

Just saw a segment during the Astros pregame program with Astros pitcher Lance McCullers about the Maven Coffee Shop at Minute Maid Park. He will also have one at Toyota Center, Thompson Hotel at the Allen and one at Sawyer yards.

Side note that I didn't know but he is of Cuban heritage and has always loved coffee.

Maybe it is a revised batter's eye or lighting?

Astros have underperformed at home for several of the last few seasons.

You nailed it!  The Astros are extending the batter’s eye more towards right field…should be ready in time for the next home stand.

The batter's eye paint is interesting, but I'm pretty sure the building permits referenced up-thread are not related to this new paint.

Maybe it’s related to a redo of this CF/batters eye area in the offseason and the paint is a temporary band-aid fix for now. They could do a batter’s eye restaurant space with seating behind dark tinted glass, as seen in other ballparks.

We know MSA’s body of work already, including the prior CF renovation.

I’ll throw out one more idea. Left Field corner upper deck. Remove the stands, replace with a larger video board for spectators along 1st base/RF. Bar space underneath which would provide a great vantage point, especially when the roof is open. Throw in a Karbach Brewery and some rocking chairs …errr ok maybe not haha

I'm just waiting on any news about the promised "Astros village" :)

Tampa, Las Vegas, and Kansas City are all getting a new baseball park + mix-use developments. I don't think we need a new ballpark because I just love how historic MMP looks. All we're missing is some kind of mix use surrounding it!

"Tickets for the tour aren't on sale yet, but interested fans will need to sign up for the team's ticket lottery list before it closes Dec. 1. The team says a drawing to decide who has an opportunity to but tickets will take place about two months before the event."

I switched the TV to the Astros first Spring Season game because the Longhorns basketball team was getting roughed up by Kansas.

Crane was doing an interview with the broadcast team, he mentioned the new additions to the stadium. Said he has the ok from the city and it will have direct access to the stadium, I'm assuming this means a skybridge.

^^^ @hindesky by chance, did crane just happen to mention during the broadcast when they will be finally revealing the RENDERINGS/CONCEPTS of the new and prospective astros downtown development?  actually, as i duly recall, these RENDERINGS/CONCEPTS were supposed to be officially revealed last fall of 2023.  i wonder just what is the delay?  maybe, they were awaiting the new mayoral administration to get into place.  who knows?  however, i guess that we should all just pray that this prospective development doesn't end up like the long-awaited W HOTEL... you know, like waiting forever and ever... and ever... and ever...
