tigereye
Help me understand......I thought that tower 1 goes on this property and tower two goes on the block behind. True?Correct - Phase 2 is the block behind. But IIRC, Ric Campo has delayed this entire project even though it is approved for DLI tax incentives. Popular Post Urbannizer
http://zieglercooper.com/camden-downtown/ Located one block from Houston’s Toyota Center at the heart of the Central Business District, Camden Downtown is a 20-story high-rise residential tower. The tower is sited on the north end of the block in an east-west orientation, creating a more energy-efficient exposure of the facades and maximizing views to downtown and the adjacent Root Square Park. This orientation also minimizes the shadows of the tower onto the 20,000-square-foot amenity deck. Camden Downtown provides residents with a wide array of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, club room, WiFi lounge, private dining, morning coffee lounge, and a skylounge on Level 20 with unrivaled skyline views.

lockmat
Keep in mind Camden is publicly traded. So even if he wants to move forward his stock holders and its price matter more.

TowerSpotter
These rendering have been around since 2007:04:02 10:58:35 or atleast that was their last save. Edit: Disregard the first rendering of the building was from that date, looks like this was their latest save. ANTHONYHTOWN
while it seems cool the renderings no longer impress me knowing it won't happen.

BigFootsSocks
Because some people here think Ric Campo hates Houston. Ya know, the usual hot take
cspwal
That take has been rewarmed so much, is it truly still a hot take?
EllenOlenska
The luke-warm take depresses me.
KinkaidAlum
It's happening. It's likely just going to take as long to get out of the ground as Camden's superblock proposal.
cspwal
They probably won't break ground until well after the Superblock apartments are leasing
