Noticed the beautiful blue lighting from 45! It really adds something special to the downtown skyline. Market Square Tower picks up the reflection of the building. I'm loving it. Drove down to see it in person and I'm amazed. Love the transformation of DTHTX these past 10 years.

This seems like a relatively new model, at least for around here where there have historically been relatively cheap places to set up your own shop.

There probably aren't enough local chefs licensed to drive concepts anyway, given the head start the other halls have.

think New York City pizza and German kolaches

Kolaches are Czech. Why would I want to think of German ones?
edit: the quote is from an article by Holly Crawford, not C&G

Lived in Germany for 2 years. No Kolaches were ever found. They are more a croissants country / pastry country.

Laura Gillespie of HBJ reported that Lyric market, an upcoming food hall in Downtown Houston, has split ways with its previous vendor (Clark Cooper Concepts). They're now partnered with Colicchio Consulting.

Also "Houston-based Capital Reality Group has leased about 70 percent of the square footage of the space to roughly 10 or 12 tenants so far" as stated by the article.

Actually, Eater Houston first reported the split between Lyric Market and Clark Cooper Concepts.

I alerted Eater Houston to the change in food curators change two weeks ago. They didn't report on it right away, though I provided proof. Instead Eater waited for a response from Lyric Market's publicist, who is also the publicist for Clark Cooper Concepts. Once confirmed by the publicists, Eater wrote a blurb on it. My guess is Houston Business Journal saw the blurb and reached out for more details or because Eater asked about the split, the publicist drafted a press release and sent it to other publications.

Most of Houston Business Journal's content are press releases or news reproduced from local publishers without their permission (Houston Chronicle, CultureMap, PaperCity, and Eater Houston) so they'll have content.

This is the blurb from Eater a day before Houston Business Journal.

"Lyric Market, the sprawling new food hall coming to the city’s Theatre District, is no longer working with Clark Cooper Concepts, the Houston restaurant group tapped to help pick out the market’s tenants. Lyric Market’s press reps said in a statement:

Lyric Market, the multi-concept culinary destination in Houston’s Theater District, has parted ways with local restaurant group Clark Cooper Concept.

With more than 20 “best in class” food and retail vendors from all over the world, Owner Jonathan Enav, president and CEO of Houston-based US Property Management, has partnered with nationally acclaimed Colicchio Consulting. Their expertise in food hall consulting across the country will provide unparalleled direction and support for LyricMarket and its vendors. We are very excited to be working with them to offer Houstonians a diverse culinary marketplace and immersive destination."
