From "eh", to "m e h", to "bleh".

It's certainly not the worst design on the waterway, and it does blend in with the late 90's early 2000's theme all the other buildings have.

Edit: looks like they changed it from black (a pinch more modern), to brown.

Yeah it looks like they switch from a modernish black panel system to brown brick -.-

The article has been revised and now includes this tidbit:

Doyle said other sites along the Waterway eventually could hold more towers.

"We have multiple sites that we will gradually develop with this type of quality product," he said.

The Woodlands Development Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Dallas-based The Howard Hughes Corp. (NYSE: HHC), held a private “pre-announcement” event last week with about 70 interested buyers.

After hearing details about the 23-story, 84-unit condominium tower, about 50 attendees made a reservation to purchase a unit. Presale meetings will start next week, said Peter Doyle, executive vice president of strategic development for Howard Hughes.

I'm curious how much longer, and how many more high rises it'll take for The Woodlands to seriously consider mass transit.

isn't park and ride "mass transit"?  there are three or four very successful park and rides and the woodlands is building a transit center right smack in the middle of town center...the last proposed location is a surface lot near the pavilion at six pines and lake robbins....on the pavilion side.

Yes, you're right. I'll just come out and say it; how long until the Woodlands gets a rail line?

Seriously... It's asinine we can't even get park&ride into every major suburb. However, that's good news to hear Woodlands is doing it. Hopefully, Sugar Land and Katy can get on board with something like this with the good connection to the major inner city employment centers. Seriously, the SW freeway connects to Uptown, Greenway Plaza, TMC, and DT, wasted opportunity with a lack of P&R due to jurisdiction and lack of will.

According to Sugar Land's website:  "There are two park and ride facilities in Sugar Land: one at the AMC Theater First Colony and one at the UH – Sugar Land campus. Fort Bend County Public Transit provides one-seat service from each facility to the Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza, and Galleria areas.Fort Bend County Transit also provides service to downtown Houston via a transfer to METRO. Fort Bend County Transit’s Greenway Plaza route stops at METRO’s West Bellfort Park and Ride, which is located near West Bellfort at US 59"

As arndthwrld82 already mentioned, Katy has park & ride.

And FWIW, it's hardly "news" that The Woodlands is doing Park & Ride.  There have been Park & Ride buses running from The Woodlands to Houston for decades.

Seriously, which major suburbs do not have park & ride?

When I worked in Greenway Plaza, some of the buisnesses there would subsudize your Trek Express ride if you took it more 16 days a month.
