    not so much conventions, but shows... the Boat show, various Home shows bring in huge crowds. The quilting convention is huge, the high school coaches convention is huge, and the public transportation industry convention probably brings the most business with them.

    A little birdie told me they haven't signed a contact for the builder yet, but they're 90% sure is going to be the guys drilling the 100 foot deep pilings. ....

    day drinking, text to speech on a phone that is not very good at doing this. I talked to this cute girl at the Marlowe office at sure what day they are breaking ground, and she said November 5th.

    people would use commuter rail if it's like the Park N Ride system. Shoot them down the center of 290 from the Pinemont station, take em into downtown, join the red line all the way to the Med Center, reverse for outbound.

    it wouldn't have competed with 1WTC it would have been much better. now, it's the ugliest f**king thing I have ever seen, and doesn't fit with the original vision of the WTC. pardon my French.

    another reason was the hit piece someone did on ABC's 20/20, which aired right after FL moved to Houston. That was the episode where an 'undercover reporter' got a job in the meat department, tampered with some beef, then said, "Look what FL is selling you"
