  1. I was always under the impression that a winding street was a fake way of introducing road design dependant on topography of the land. Developers think it makes the neigborhood more pleasant to drive in, but it is a waste of space in a location with flat land.
  2. Check at this recent aerial photo of Bridgeland. . . Looks inviting huh. . . Okay, I kid, just a random development in California that went bankrupt, but who can tell the difference.
  3. Which translates to cutting the fat, removing the dead weight, = poor investment returns. "Slow" sales maybe, I dunno what you are referencing then, "well" is considered slow, then yes. I just sensing location bias since you live in NW Houston. Of course you will see it "half glass full".
  4. Some updates we have missed in HAIF since August, a variance sign, I saw posted last fall, was approved in November.
  5. That's all I was able to find, Lifetime Fitness of course, has been open for a bit now too.
  6. Well looks like whatever Pappa-suffix they wanted to open is gone, flyer is updated, with the removal of Linens N Things completed too.
  7. Pipe dream. It will take a while before anything that nice is built in Greenspoint. Unless they get some incentive or a tax break, this looks unlikely.
  8. The Memorial City District redid their website. http://www.memorialcitydistrict.org
  9. Hey "Bridgeland", looks like companies know a poor investment choice when they see one. Epic Fail.
  10. The closed Kreiss location in Highland Village is going to be incorporated into it.
  11. The sight of (2) speed limit signs showing 35 mph is a clear indication that the perspective was messed with in the photo.
  12. The satellite store's sign went up last week, but it seems that it has been on the plans since last fall. News to me.
  13. The perspective has been altered. It's not a normal photo.
  14. If you want a Tempur-Pedic like matteress without the chemicals or price, there is a superior eco-version called EcoMemoryFoam. You don't sleep hot, since it has open-cells. James Craig Furnishings is currently the only place I believe you can purchase this. Check out page 48 of the January issue of 002.
  15. Any online print documents that reflect these rumors?
  16. So. . . why are they still here , did they forget they made a public press release about pulling out of Texas. . . Hello???
  17. I did not know this, but it was to be the first one in Houston branded as "The City" I went to the 6-10 West location yesterday to shop, and they had bags that said "The City" instead of "Circuit City". They said they sent all the inventory from the Bunkerhill location to this one since it never opened. I have read about a prototype store being called that, but was the sign they hung above the new store reflective upon this name change? The logo, for the sake of CC, looks identical, so it is easy to miss, with City being the larger of the two words.
  18. Sorry to be critical, but why would you waste 20% of the land on a parking lot, and not build a garage? Is that was I see on the bottom right?
  19. Yeah, drove by it last night, fence is up, and the building is still standing. Just the drive-thru and parking was demo'd.
  20. Nah, it's the one in BLVD Place. Post Oak Whole Foods
