  1. Having so much clutter in photos should be a first "no-no" for basic Realtor photo taking 101.
  2. 40% off games 30% off game accessories 25% off game consoles PSP's and Xbox 360 GB systems were in stock when I was there last. 25% off televisions 40% off movie/tv shows and music 10% off Apple merchandise
  3. Houses in Sharpstown are sure cheap. . . I wonder why?
  4. pffft, like you all really deserve a B&N or BDS. Maybe a BAM, but that's all you gonna get. Doesn't Katy Mills have a BAM already?
  5. Yes, we've had a thread on this, but it won't just be any cell phone store (AT&T/Sprint/T-Mobile/Verizon) It has to be Cricket, Boost Mobile or some other pre-pay/no credit check provider. Sorry, I know there is a very happy Cricket customer here. . .
  6. Their are going to be 150' tall, unless they want to be petty and change plans.
  7. Houston should legalize gambling and let HP be the first casino.
  8. Well, I was kinda going back to when it kicked off in 2006. But ya, it is falling apart quickly. Maybe we should prepare an entry on deadmalls.com
  9. So we will have two crosses now. The 150 ft. one and the existing 170 ft. one within eye's reach?
  10. Well it missed the deadline by 2 years, but at least it was not canceled.
  11. Sorry for the double post. Found this here. The Westin open November 15th, 2009. Looks almost nothing like the original rendering. Submitted a request to move Westin Hotel info here.
  12. They need to validate parking if you dine or shop in the stores.
  13. Wow, that was fast. What kind of lease lets you leave after only 4 months. Must have been worth paying the penalty than wasting money with rent and employees. It would be interesting to see what kind of daily sales Lids had. $0 some days? Just went to their website too, and there are no references to the HP location in Houston anymore. The Pavilions deserve a "E! True Hollywood" type documentary. The rise and fall of a development within 3 years.
  14. I heard packing places love popcorn Styrofoam, but the large chunks are not accepted.
  15. Las Vegas got a taste of Houston, but it was not budget cuts, rather poor construction. Topping out at 28 stories instead of the proposed 49, the incredible shrinking Harmon seems unfortunately fated to look like a stubby, squashed stepchild next to its soaring CityCenter siblings, the 61-story Aria Resort & Casino and the 57-story Vdara condo-hotel.
  16. I would say don't do it if the company itself is still in business. If it has folded, then I see no issue.
  17. Erm, your friend is smoking some really good stuff. I was there Monday night. Plenty of stock, and not closed. Drove by it last night too, open for business. The paper on the windows is for advertising. If he is thinking the Sharpstown location, yes, that closed already.
  18. This is the kind of news that needs to be heard. Local 2 Investigates Charity Panhandlers By Amy Davis POSTED: Wednesday, February 11, 2009 UPDATED: 6:28 am CST February 11, 2009 HOUSTON -- We know you've seen the men and women collecting donations along Houston roadways because many of you asked us to check them out. Last year we asked the questions to get you answers about where your donations are really going. Now, investigative reporter Amy Davis is giving you a look at the finances and a one-on-one interview with the group's leader. . . . . ."You just got to hold a sign and a bucket and hand out fliers," the manager told a KPRC producer by phone. "And we pay 25 percent of what you bring in up to $99. If you make $100, we give you 30 percent." . . . . . . And watch we did. In nine months, "God Bless" switched causes four times from AIDS and HIV to supporting youth, then collecting for a Hurricane Ike relief fund to now raising money for the homeless and hungry. "Some people said you're just jumping onto the next big cause that'll get people to drop money in those buckets," Davis told Tarver. . . . . .We did find one financial report Tarver filed with the city. In it, he claims from January to September 2008, God Bless Charities collected $45,000. . . . . . .More than $19,000 went to pay stipends for the people who collected the cash. . . After rent, utilities and transportation costs, the group had less than $5,000 left for any cause. . .
  19. Might as well turn this into a price drop thread. As of Monday, at least in gaming. 30% off games (up from 20%) 30% off game accessories 20% off game consoles (if you can find them) Still a decent selection of Wii/DS/PSP/360/PS2 games, while the PS3 game selection is dwindling. But I heard today, at least in Detroit, they started 40%-70% off, and this weekend, it's 40%-80% off and by Monday the bottom will be at 50%. Any truth in this?
