    It is fine, I am sure they will find a great spot somewhere again. Sucks that Central Market and Whole Foods copied their tradmark format. That is what I call "a Wal-mart" move.

    Very Punny! Knick Knacks like that are always subjected to public opinion based on price. Just like abstract art. I think they are worthless, but some people will pay $1000's for spattered paint on a canvas my niece could do better on.

    What a shame, I can so see it being turned into a sweet cafe or coffee house. Maybe Deitrich's Coffee could fill the vacancy!

    On a side note, where the hell did Lifetime and LA Fitness come from all of the sudden. I could swear Bally's and 24 Hour Saturated the market here.

    After getting kicked out of their old spot where HEB Central Market is, Surprises just could not keep up with the Walmarts and Targets for gift ideas in their trendy custom built store. I saw a "Going out of Business" sign with a starting discount of 20%, which I am sure will excalate as we get closer to Christmas. If you plan and returning anything, now is the time, but you may already have a difficult time since the store already announced it's closing. The main website page is down, but you can cheat with the cache and then search the site from there.

    Sorry, I read your entry wrong at the beginning, (for those confused about the post, I changed it to make more sense, which now makes Montrose1100's seem confusing) I was thinking he was refering to a WaterWorld in it's current form (i.e. non-existant) rather than a past tense reference. My bad.

    FYI, we do have a Westcreek thread open on this in the "WestLoop/Galleria/Memorial" forum. Don't ask me why . . . I always get confused myself what constitutes acceptance in the "Going Up!" section if it can belong in the area specific section too.

    It does not have much new information, but I recieved the Uptown Update for October and thought I share it with everyone! HIGH STREET HEADED TO UPTOWN Trademark Property Company has signed a 100-year ground lease with Kagan & Rudy Families Properties Ltd. and Karu Ltd. for a six-acre site at 4410 Westheimer Road. An auto dealership now on the site will be bulldozed to make way for a 100,000-square-foot, mixed-use project dubbed The High Street. Plans for The High Street call for specialty retail, restaurants and entertainment space coupled with 250 to 350 multi-family units. Trademark Property Company is best known locally for its development of the 500,000-square-foot Market Street in The Woodlands.

    This to add to a recent string of school shootings. I can only bet something big in government is coming to correct this and enforce new laws. Maybe mandatory metal detectors and clear backpacks at all highschools.
