    Took a few pictures today. Construction on the UC extension into 1B parking Parking lot 1A fenced off for the new parking garage on the corner of Elgin and Calhoun at the Metro rail Cougar Village II

    I noticed on Saturday that two tower cranes were installed along Wheeler for the new Cougar Village 2 which is scheduled to be complete by Fall 2013.

    This evening the Engineering College is hosting a goodbye BBQ party open to anyone who wants to attend for the Y building on campus. The building was almost as old as the university and will be demolished sometime in the next month. No plans as of yet what the school will do with the open space.

    You guys need to calm down and realize when someone voices an opinion, it is their opinion. Nor do I need to be taught the economy of Houston via Wikipedia which I found to be smirk worthy at the very least.

    I hope that was sarcasm because I have no idea how the name The Refinery has any good connotations to it. Just ask the many people who get caught in a cross wind path of them. Thats like calling a bar Smokestack and expecting the air quality in the immediate area to be clean and crisp.

    The heat is here and summer is right around the corner and I came to thinking about snow cones already. I really have never tried to seek a place in the inner loop. Does anyone know of a great snow cone places in town?

    My personal opinion is that the Sundance and Alamo crowds are so very different. I would use the same analogy with Howl at the Moon and Pete's Dueling Piano Bar since they are about the same proximity as Sundance/Alamo will be. I think there is sure to be overlap, but the crowds are different. Personally, if I am to go to a dueling piano bar it would be Howl over Pete's just like I would most likely go to Alamo over Sundance. Atmospheres are sure to be different as well as how they interact with the customers.

    Man this is such great news! I always thought they needed an Alamo Draft house in the area. So happy to see that one is in the works!
