  1. Just an observation but it looks like they will do away with the hill on the corner of Avenida and McKinney in Discovery Green for something new.
  2. I guess this picture would answer my question. I like it but it just seems to be very different. Is it a type of brick or what?
  3. Yeah that pool is going to be insanely awesome. Are they going to redo McKinney infront because the surface looks like it is striped in a weird way. Does anyone know anything about that?
  4. I forgot that the government is the most efficient entity at spending money. What was I thinking.
  5. Kylejack, you were literally standing just to the left of me by less than a foot. I definitely saw myself at the beginning Haha
  6. Not only shameless but they also called it the Ben Milan on multiple occasions in their article. Poor work indeed.
  7. Since everyone is putting theres. What the heck. I had mine more zoomed than yalls. Looks like we were all pretty close.
  8. I don't really agree with your statement. No company wants to cannibalize their own establishment. Too much can be a bad thing and can certainly hurt company profits. Each store is strategically placed in a manner to not cannibalize others.
  9. The federal government has been way off their rocking horse for a long time. Even though this project looks nice, certainly not worth taxpayer money.
  10. You should make your way downtown sometime soon. Check out Discovery Green, some of the places in Houston Pavilions, Warren's, etc.
  11. I've never cared for the color of it. Being the "intersection" of the three districts, one would think the color scheme would be more elaborate and colorful than some pinkish, maroonish, white. I thought midtown, montrose and museum district are supposed to be eclectic, original, and vibrant with youth. The sign conveys none of this. It conveys boredom and random in my opinion.
  12. It is my opinion that daily pictures is a little too much. Once a week would be more realistic and nice. With school almost out, I'll have more time to go around getting some shots myself.
  13. Sounds like a pretty awesome deal
  14. Well then I stand corrected good sir. I do go that way every now and then and assumed they used the break to do it. They seem to be pretty rough, I guess they will fix that later on?
  15. I noticed today that over the Thanksgiving break they installed the light rails across Cullen. Glad to know they were able to take advantage of the low volume traffic during those school days off.
  16. There was another UH robbery a day or two ago. In my opinion, UH has a lot more crime than I think most universities face. My only other time outside of UH at a major university was at Texas Tech and we rarely got news of robberies and violence on campus. It seems as if UH sends out at least biweekly emails about these issues. Maybe UH is more informative that TTU was about these issues but I find myself always looking over my shoulder on campus because of the amount of crime. It is a serious serious issue that needs more funding and surveillance than I have seen. Millions and millions of student tuition funding is going to new stadiums and buildings but a student can't feel safe on campus. Such a shame.
  17. Glad you were able to get out there and take some good pre-construction pictures Ricco.
  18. I do wonder how they are going to change up the stadium to display the new colors, logo and all. Gosh I hope they get rid of those awful advertisements in center field for this next season.
