Not sure if anyone goes into Melcher aka Bauer here on campus, but if you do, have you noticed these wretched shelves they installed this week and last week above the urinals? This has to be one of the most poorly placed shelves I have seen in a long time. Nothing like a shelf that sticks out further than the urinal. Not only that but it is right in your face and I have yet to see anyone use it. You literally have to lean your head back if you want to use it. Sorry, I had to rant and vent somewhere. I hope they take these things down asap.

I don't know why Woolie but that thing in the background reminded me of those slap sticky hands as a kid. Loved those things too much. So I'd say, "Youth for the Protection of Slap Stick Hands via the 2nd Amendment"

I think those were monkeys who put up those signs. Youth for Ron Paul @ UofH wasn't part of that brigade. Nice to hear about lot 1A. It needed a parking garage or a repaving. Should look nice alongside the light rail.

This is great news for the University of Houston in my opinion and deserves a mention even though it isn't architecture related. Myself and a bunch from the Youth for Ron Paul have worked hard trying to get him to come and he will be there next Friday. It is absolutely FREE so come out and hear what all the fuss is about. Bring as many or as few of people as you'd like. It will be a good time for sure!

It reminds me of the house that lives next to The Bullet roller coaster down in Kemah. They refused to sell out to Tilman Ferttita so everyday they hear the clicks of the coaster, and the screams of its riders. Sticking it to the man.

According to bizjournal and lockmat, a Hines development was slated to be announced tonight at least. Wasn't so much of a rumor

I agree with lockmat, if this news is as big as we've been playing it to be. There is no way it won't get leaked tonight. If it doesn't get leaked well, maybe it really wasn't worth the anticipation and rave. But I can't see how that is possible.

The amazing crew at this store saved my life last night. I left my Macbook charger at UofH yesterday and didn't realize till 9:14. I ran over there and got there at 9:25 and the guy at the door was telling me they closed at 9. I just about begged the guy to sell me one because I have had an exam this morning and all my notes were in powerpoints on my Mac. After 3 or 4 minutes I got him to talk to his boss and he said sure and they set me up when I was in desperation. Great crew and always great customer service at Apple. They were my hero and that is a huge reason why I'll stay a fan of Apple, they didn't let me down. By the way, because of that charger they sold me. I probably aced that exam.

Does anyone know what is going up? I noticed the crane earlier this week on my way to school. The location is between Buffalo Speedway and Kirby on the south side of 610, almost adjacent to Reliant Stadium.

Well then, since you are going to be pessimistic Woolie haha, I'll go with at least a 38 stories. Ground retail and restaurant with a glass facade. A LEED Gold rating and no residential. Please Rod Roddy, from the afterlife, call me down as the next contestant on The Price Is Right (fingers crossed!)

If that is true...What an utter disappointment and a waste of "I can't wait till Wednesday" mentality. Sure is a let down.

They now have the posts in the ground for the neighborhood wall barrers And it looks like the base of street lights have already been installed. I can't wait for those rails to get in the ground
