  1. They were flying really low on the west side of downtown near Dallas St:
  2. Anyone have any idea what that was all about? Two helicopters were flying very very low (my car was in the helicopter wind vortex for a while at a red light on Dallas) and were certainly filming it would appear. Any ideas?
  3. A lot more rebar onsite. Where are our HAIF photographers! Oh wait...
  4. They're finishing up the retail portion. Installing the glass today.
  5. This is just a preview until I have time to actually document everything. It's only three pictures, but I figured we needed a thread about the coming development to Third Ward. Red line indicates where the photos were taken out.
  6. Sure enough, while I was grabbing lunch, I decided I drive by it and it's still closed off. And a sign still says "Lease Now. Call.." So yea, there doesn't appear to be any company in it.
  7. I always see a "now leasing" sign when I drive by, unfortunately.
  8. I literally walked by this lot yesterday. Zero activity and the existing structure hasn't even been touched.
  9. I'm actually surprised we don't have a picture of the finished product that is One Park Place with the Phoenicia's already opened at the bottom.
  10. Third Ward and its surrounding area is going to be the next to go. Developers definitely have their eyes on this area since the land is cheaper than anywhere else near the city. Will be interesting if that massive multi-block development near the University of Houston on Elgin is still going to happen. I still need to take that drive on the western edge of Third Ward and show you guys the large amount of development taking place over there. It is happening quickly and, I suppose, alarmingly fast for the residents that live there.
  11. Wow, I didn't realize you posted this article already.
  12. This new rendering makes reading all the past comments about prison-looking and anti-retail even more funny.
  13. It almost sounds like the city may want to build a park on the vacant lot that the Savoy sits near: More to come! Source: Link
  14. Ah, so since this is outside of the Woodlands and Houston city limits, then this area does have lower taxes?
