    I saw this a few days ago too. Unlike most of the food and beverage tenants so far at Montrose Collective, Graffiti ( 1001 California St, Suite B-101) is local. This is a new restaurant concept from Clark Cooper Concepts, I believe.

    I scrolled through the posts from 2020 to the present and couldn't locate any mention of the potential retailers in one of the early marketing brochures for Montrose Collective. The only post I found included a few (like Van Leeuwen, La La Land, and a few others), but it didn't list all the prospective tenants listed. In the earlier marketing brochures, Barcelona Wine Bar and Bartaco were listed as businesses interested in opening at Montrose Collective. Both restaurants were removed from later brochures. However, last week I came across a LLC for Barcelona Montrose LLC. It's tied to the restaurant group operating other Barcelona and Bartaco locations. Does anyone know if Barcelona has signed on to open at Montrose Collective after all? Or will this open elsewhere in the Montrose area (that's not part of the Montrose Collective mixed-use)?

    That was my assumption as well. I suppose further details will be announced or reported soon. It will be interesting seeing how the space is transformed. Also interested in seeing how this will perform with Brasserie 19, Perry's, and Hudson House (when it opens) since it will probably have a similar price point as those businesses.

    Following Emmaline closure last year, a new hospitality group has plans for the space at 3210 W Dallas St Muse is a new restaurant from a former partner of So Clutch Hospitality (Clutch, The Sporting Room). I followed the restaurant's Instagram last spring, but it wasn't until recently more details about the concept were shared.     The publicist hired for Elro distributed press releases announcing the new restaurant planned for a bungalow at 2405 Genesee. This is part of the Fairview District. CultureMap and other publications reported the news in early January. Elro anticipates a summer opening. From CultureMap: ...the new restaurant will be a considerably more casual affair than his former establishment.     Another retail tenant for Heights Forum is Gyroville. This a fast casual restaurant specializing in gyros and serves Middle Eastern Halal fare. Heights Forum is located at 1324 North Shepherd Dr.

    A few weeks ago, Chi'lantro officially announced their return to Houston with a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Heights Forum mixed-use development.     Another restaurant addition is coming to the River Oaks Shopping Center. Some of you may have seen alcohol notices, building permits, or the listing on River Oaks Shopping Center directory for Atrium River Oaks in the last year. I think it will be located in the unit previously occupied by Citibank at 1971 W Gray St. Despite the name listed as Atrium River Oaks, the restaurant's actual name is Cocody. The chef-owner of French restaurants Le Ministral and Bistro 555 is involved with this restaurant.     As suspected, Money Cat's publicist emailed press releases to local news publications earlier this month regarding the latest Kirby Grove restaurant addition.     Papercity Magazine ran an advertorial article last month in partnership with Midway and East River. There weren't much new details, but there was confirmation that Johny Rhodes, the James Beard Award nominated chef of Indigo (closed last year), will open a restaurant in the East River mixed-use development. News of the restaurant was leaked last year in the merchandising plan linked above. The unnamed restaurant will also join Rhodes' boutique market Brohams at East River. From Papercity: A new restaurant from local James Beard Award nominated Chef Jonny Rhodes, who earned national acclaim for his “neo-soul food” tasting menu as owner/chef of the former Restaurant Indigo, is also coming. Rhodes grew up down the street from the East River site.     Flora, a Mexican-inspired restaurant concept from Clark Cooper Concepts may no longer be in the works for Hanover River Oaks at 2651 Kipling in Houston. I think the hospitality group changed course. Flora is opening elsewhere. There are recent hiring posts indicating Flora is replacing the Dunlavy and the Kitchen at the Dunlavy, 3422 Allen Parkway. It's possible this could open before spring.

    The chefs behind Japanese restaurants Kokoro (Bravery) and Handies Douzo in the Heights may have plans for a concept in the Autry Park mixed-use development. Earlier this month, an entity was formed for Autry Park Sushi LLC. The entity is tied to the group involved with both of the aforementioned restaurants.     More details about Auden, a vegetable-forward restaurant opening at Autry Park, were reported towards the end of 2021. So, it's not the freshest of news, but I didn't see anyone make a post about it.     The name of the business renovating the former Indika restaurant at 516 Westheimer Rd has changed its name again. The new name is Black Orchid. But the concept is the same: restaurant and club/lounge. Someone involved with this claims the restaurant will serve Continental cuisine. I'm more interested in seeing the renovations once completed.

    It is. 1808 N Shepherd Dr is the address for Hattie B's. As reported in CultureMap's article, the site is currently a parking lot. The restaurant will be built from the ground up.

    It looks like Balboa Surf Club is a new restaurant concept from the same hospitality group bringing il Bracco to Houston. I think it's a smart move on their part having two of their concepts in the same commercial development. Maybe Balboa Surf Club will be a seafood restaurant at Post Oak Plaza, possibly on the higher end? I don't know. Thanks for the clarification, Gene. When I saw 1751 Post Oak Blvd as the given address and this being a restaurant, I assumed this is taking over Masraff's old digs.

    I emailed Eater Houston about RH Hospitality's RH Rooftop Restaurant planned for Autry Park. I sent it to them the day the filing was uploaded to the Texas Department of Licensing & Registration's database. Like a lot of tips I send their way, they sat on the news for whatever reason and chose to report about it a month later. I alerted other publications about it as well, just as I send them the same information I post here so I'm not showing favoritism (including a lot of tips I don't post on this forum). I didn't expect for Houston Chronicle or CultureMap to report on this because their main food writers usually wait for a press release or confirmation from the business owners or the developers/landlords. However, rumors and filings like this are the kind of news that all Eater sites cover. But Eater Houston has fallen off in this department for a while now. So, many of the same public information that's found by members on this forum and is shared here, the local media is aware of it but often wait for an official word from those directly involved. That may be weeks or months later. It's why you're just now seeing articles in detail about Auden, a restaurant coming to Autry Park. I shared the blurb from the Houston Chronicle about Auden to local publications including additional details because the blurb was likely something many of them possibly overlooked (and it was according to some of the responses I received). And almost two months later, there are multiple articles about it because the restaurant or the developers weren't ready to fully disclose details until this week (same thing with Berg Hospitality's Turner's Cut & Annabelle's planned for Autry Park, which I shared here months prior). And if reporters for the main local publications aren't aware and receive a press release, they may cite forums like this as a source that found the information initially.

    Yeah, I think Money Cat is the latest concept from the chef-owner of Tobiuo. He shared a photo on Instagram of a unit under construction in October, but didn't provide what he's working on or where despite comments inquiring about the location. But a recent filing indicates Money Cat restaurant is planned for Kirby Grove. I suspect Money Cat's publicist will send press releases to local publications early 2022 announcing the new project.

    Money Cat, a modern Japanese restaurant, is coming to the Kirby Grove mixed-use development. The restaurant's address is 2925 Richmond Ave, Suite 140. According to its Instagram bio, Money Cat will also serve sushi. I don't know for certain who (or who all) is involved. I think it's a new project from the group behind Tobiuo, the Japanese restaurant in Katy. It's probable CultureMap will have details about this soon.     The address for the mixed-use development Heights Forum is 1324 N Shepherd Dr. Admins may want to correct that so others can locate it when searching by address. Anyway, the Loopnet listing for Heights Forum was updated recently and includes a few tenants. There is a more current visual of the building too, but I think it's been available for a while.     The Houston franchisee of the Halal Guys is planning a second Houston area outpost of Layne's Chicken Fingers at 3008 Ella Blvd. The restaurant is adjacent to the Halal Guys.

    Moving into the former Golden storefront at 3119 White Oak Dr are two new restaurants from chef Billy Kin. One of the restaurants is a sushi omakase named Kinokawa.
