  1. George's (George's Bistro & Bar) opened Monday at 2715 Bissonnet St, Suite 100. It's located in the Shops at Upper Kirby near the West U, SouthHampton, and Rice Village area. The restaurant was labeled as the French Corner in leasing materials and in a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. According to their social media and website, the restaurant serves Continental cuisine. https://www.georgesbistroandbar.com https://www.instagram.com/georgesbistrobar Photos from Instagram and Google Maps:
  2. Murals painted on the outside of EZ's Liquor Lounge, a new bar coming to 3302 White Oak Dr. Local artist Shelby Nicole and her team painted the murals recently. The photos were posted to Instagram last week. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg0BMGQJu9t/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg0UsqrJfky/
  3. Crust Pizza Co. recently opened its first inner loop location in the 1919 N Shepherd Dr retail center. The restaurant took over Mellow Mushroom's former space at 1919 N Shepherd Dr, Ste A. Photos of the exterior and interior remodel from Google Maps and Instagram:
  4. This isn't fresh news, but since no one has posted an update about changes at West 19th Retail Center, here goes... A bakery and dessert shop is leasing the unit previously occupied by Finch Properties at 1901 N Shepherd Dr, Ste 5. Eat Cake signed on in 2021, I think. Coming soon signs announcing the business were posted last fall. Signage was installed this spring. The business is also included on the center's sign marquee. Eat Cake could open this fall. https://www.eatcakebar.com https://www.instagram.com/eatcakebar Photo of the coming soon sign from October 2021; from Instagram Photo of signage going up March 2022; from Eat Cake's Instagram Google Maps images from June 2022
  5. This isn't new, but am posting for reference. I'm also trying to provide a chronological timeline of sorts of changes with the property. There are some who may like to see these kind of updates (even if they're outdated), so when scrolling through the topic, there's a timeline of what's happened or will happen (I hope that makes sense). Finch Properties moved out of the West 19th Retail Center somewhere around 2019 or 2020. The business was located at 1901 N Shepherd Dr, Unit 5 (1901 N Shepherd, Suite 5). A leasing flyer from Re:vive Development marketing the unit. http://www.reviveco.com/s/REVIVE-1901SHEPHERD.pdf
  6. Photos of West 19th Retail Center. This is a commercial strip center at 1901 N Shepherd Dr, on the corner of W 19th St. The photos are from either 2019 or 2020. These were included in a leasing flyer for the property from Re:vive Development. http://www.reviveco.com/s/REVIVE-1901SHEPHERD.pdf
  7. Since there was a separate topic created for Black Page Brewing, here are the previous discussions about it from the White Oak Music Hall thread:
  8. Right. I know Black Page Brewing is leasing the land. Swamplot reported it in 2016. However, the brewpub was marketed as being a part of the overall development consisting of White Oak Music Hall, Raven Tower, and Sideout Volleybar. It was included on W2 Development's website as part of the overall development too (though it was later removed around 2018 or 2019). I understand plans change. And since the buildout has taken over six years now, initial plans may have evolved, scaled back, or altered in other ways.
  9. The Crossing at Midtown will include a dance club named Reset. From CultureMap this afternoon: "A group of Houston hospitality veterans are bringing a new dance club to Midtown. Reset will open later this summer in a newly constructed building at 606 Dennis St...Reset occupies the top floor of its building. A 1,200-square-foot, second floor terrace gives revelers a view of the downtown skyline." https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/08-09-22-reset-new-nightclub-dance-club-house-music-midtown-ben-mcpherson/
  10. More about Rosland's at 903 Durham from a press release sent to CultureMap: https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/08-09-22-roslands-grill-bar-new-restaurant-washington-avenue-don-cristopher/
  11. @hindesky this is part of the development with White Oak Music Hall. There are posts about it in that thread dating back to 2016 along with the other places that are part of this: Raven Tower and Sideout. A link to search results showing this: https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/search/?q="black page"&quick=1&updated_after=any&sortby=newest Also, news about this being part of the overall development that includes White Oak Music Hall: http://swamplot.com/black-page-brewing-in-the-works-upstream-from-white-oak-music-hall/2016-10-27/ Mods, please merge with existing thread for White Oak Music Hall. https://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/46162-white-oak-apartments-multifamily-at-2623-keene-st @Urbannizer @Triton
  12. Reported in March in a Houston Chronicle column: "Primo Hoagies leased 1,634 square feet in Washington Center, 4015 Washington Ave. Nick Ramsey and Ashley Strickland of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord, DZ Washington LLC. Greg Lee and Campbell Anderson of Orr Commercial represented the tenant." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/texas-inc/article/Retail-wrap-Common-Bond-On-The-Go-to-anchor-new-17024495.php https://www.primohoagies.com/location/Houston-TX
  13. Updated site plan of Washington Central at 4015 Washington Ave https://www.newquest.com/property/washington-central/ https://www.newquest.com/pdfs/Washington_Central.pdf
  14. According to an article published yesterday on Houston Citybook, Rosland's is opening this month. The bar & grill is located in the Washington Corridor at 903 Durham Dr. "A new concept that'll appeal to foodies, night owls and restaurant-industry folks alike opens this week on Washington." https://www.houstoncitybook.com/best-new-restaurants-in-houston/the-upside https://www.instagram.com/roslands.tx/ https://www.roslands.com/
  15. Mods, please consider changing the title of the topic to reflect the name of the entire strip center, not just one business located there. The name of the commercial property is Garden Oaks Shopping Center. There is also signage indicating this. The addresses associated with the center are 3402-3412 N Shepherd Dr. Here is the listing from Fifth Corner https://fifthcorner.com/portfolio-items/garden-oaks-center/ Brochure uploaded in May: http://fifthcorner.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Garden-Oaks-Flyer-5.22.pdf Google Maps photo from June 2022. A site plan of Garden Oaks Shopping Center, uploaded in May:
  16. Website for Navy Blue was launched sometime this summer. There are no additional details about the restaurant on the website besides what's already reported. The website lists an anticipated opening for fall 2022. https://www.navybluerestaurant.com/
  17. A rendering of the Houston location of Daddy's Chicken Shack. This is under construction at 1223 W 11th St. The rendering was posted to Daddy's Chicken Shack Instagram in late July. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgcWDnIsdeb/
  18. Construction progress photo of Daddy's Chicken Shack at 1223 W 11th St. This shared on Daddy's Chicken Shack Instagram in late July. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgcWDnIsdeb/
  19. More construction progress photos of Clark's from the Instagram post Hindsky linked. Clark's is a seafood restaurant from Austin's MML Hospitality opening soon at 3807 Montrose Blvd. https://www.instagram.com/p/ChATYE9oM2K/
  20. I'm not sure if Domoishi is no longer leasing a unit here. Recent leasing materials for Hawthorne Square show the unit for Domoishi as available for lease. Site plan of Hawthorne Square shopping center at 3407 Montrose Blvd. Listing: https://www.crexi.com/lease/properties/459174/texas-hawthorne-square Flyer: https://api-lease.crexi.com/assets/459174/flyer

  22. Link to Baybrook East retail development on Regency Center's site (developer): http://40.71.27.176/property/detail/60823/Baybrook-East https://www.regencycenters.com/property/detail/60823/Baybrook-East Look book and leasing brochure for Baybrook East, which includes the renderings posted on Arch-Con's Instagram last week: https://issuu.com/regencycenters/docs/baybrook_east_brochure_01-27-22-e https://issuu.com/regencycenters/docs/baybrook_east_brochure_01-27-22-e?fr=sOGRkODQ2MTg3MjI Another site plan of Baybrook East showing In-N-Out Burger. I think this one is updated from the previous one above. This site plan shows some units on retail pads as leased, letter of intent to lease, and available that weren't before. I think suite 310, located across from Parry's will be home to the Taco Stand. With last week's announcement and the space marked with a letter of intent, I'm assuming that's where it could be located. Maybe when the next round of updated leasing materials are uploaded, we'll see.
  23. il Bracco is soft open at its new location in Houston's Post Oak Plaza (as of Monday). I think preview service for friends and family were held over the weekend. The address for il Bracco is 1705-A Post Oak Blvd. More about the design of the space from CultureMap's article yesterday: "To transform the space, il Bracco hired Texas firm Michael Hsu Office of Architecture (Uchiko, Loro). The 6,000-square-foot space features a contemporary design with a dedicated bar/lounge area, custom light fixtures, and a 35-seat patio. Quick's wife, il Bracco design director Mary Lucille, selected the restaurant's artwork from their personal collection. " https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/08-08-22-il-bracco-new-italian-restaurant-galleria-area-post-oak-plaza-opening-date Photos of il Bracco from CultureMap article and Instagram
  24. It's Balboa Surf Club at 1751 Post Oak Blvd. The restaurant is from the same group opening il Bracco at Post Oak Plaza too. This was discussed last year in this thread: Also renderings and a site plan show Balboa Surf Club taking over Masraff's former unit. In renderings it's shown as Malibu Surf Club. The most site plan doesn't list the name, but has a restaurant coming soon in the former Masraff's unit. From the developer: https://www.levcor.com/post-oak-plaza https://www.levcor.com/s/Post-Oak-Plaza-Redev-Leasing-Brochure-Printer-Friendly_compressed.pdf From the retail leasing agents: https://shopcompanies.com/properties/post-oak-plaza https://shopcompanies.com/properties/pdf/post-oak-plaza But the older site plan from 2021 lists Balboa Surf Club. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1703-1751-Post-Oak-Blvd-Houston-TX/11969901/ https://images1.loopnet.com//d2/E6fZwjITHWFQKEteV16reYXmWKK7VtdmocPbKC9oq2k/Post Oak Site PlanLinks 2021.pdf
  25. Moving into the Kenny & Ziggy's former unit at Post Oak Shopping Center is The Honey Hole. This is a new dining establishment from the proprietors of Swamp Chicken and Prey (located at Blvd Place). The descriptors listed on the restaurant's entity filing are bistro and brunch bar. I assume the menu will have a Southern, possibly Louisiana slant based on the owner's other restaurants. The address for the Honey Hole is 2327 Post Oak Blvd. Post Oak Shopping Center is located in the Galleria/Uptown area at 2019-2521 Post Oak Blvd. https://www.instagram.com/thehoneyhole_
