  1. Same. I can't wait to see the interior renovations.
  2. Images of Spring Street Bar from its website. https://www.springstreetbarhtx.com
  3. Spring Street Bar could open August 11. The opening date was announced on the bar's website recently. This is the bar replacing Spring Street Beer & Wine Garden at 1920 Houston Ave. https://www.springstreetbarhtx.com
  4. A post related to the retail center at 550 Heights Blvd, specifically Revival Market (550 Heights Blvd, Ste C). The post is about the dining concept replacing Revival Market, which recently closed. Lagniappe (Lagniappe Kitchen & Bar) will serve coffee beverages, plus Louisiana and Southern fare. This was is from the thread for 540 Heights Boulevard. https://www.instagram.com/lagniappekitchenandbar/ https://www.lagniappeheights.com Revival Market signage removed.
  5. Posts related to the retail center at 550 Heights Blvd, specifically Revival Market (550 Heights Boulevard, Suite C). The posts are about Revival Market closing its doors and were originally posted in the thread for 540 Heights Boulevard:
  6. Posts about the retail center at 550 Heights Blvd over the years, mainly about McCain's and Revival Market which occupied suite C. The posts were located in various topics throughout the forum.
  7. Site plan of the retail center at 550 Heights Blvd listed by the property's leasing agent Wellspring Commercial Real Estate. This is from a marketing flyer uploaded June 2022. https://wellspringcre.com https://www.dropbox.com/s/unasrun4w4t9x73/Heights Blvd %26 White Oak - 6.3.22.pdf
  8. Maps of the retail center at 550 Heights Blvd in the Heights. I don't know if this small development has a name. Listings for the property refer to it by its address only. Photos of the retail center at 550 Heights Boulevard. From 2020 when Weitzman Group was the retail center's leasing agent. These are from a 2020 Loopnet listing: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/550-Heights-Blvd-Houston-TX/20948445 Brochure: https://images1.loopnet.com/d2/ZnKwf85Q-FcMeXv5aEsOQAGIKKLvnSOphNh-3-BzTC0/550 Heights Blvd Brochure.pdf http://www.weitzmangroup.com/files/pdf/550-Heights-Boulevard(1397).pdf From Google Maps April 2022
  9. The latest bar & grill on West 20th St in Shady Acres held a preview over the weekend. Austin's or Austin in the Heights opened to the public for White Linen Night in the Heights. According to an Instagram post on Sunday, Austin in the Heights is not open yet, but will open soon (probably later in August or Labor Day weekend at the latest): "Austin in the Heights is getting close to opening. We are very excited to give the Heights a New destination spot." https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg9Bo_JuKCi/ Austin in the Heights is located at 1221 West 20th St. A recent photo of the bar's exterior from Instagram: A mural located inside:
  10. I think you may be correct about the name. The name on the banner posted earlier this summer listed the name as Austin's (Austin's Beer Garden). Prior to that, the name connected to this business was Iron Cowboy. However, the name on their social media platforms, website, and a new banner lists the name of the business at 1221 W 20th St as Austin in the Heights. https://austinintheheights.com https://www.instagram.com/austinhtx
  11. Photos of Vietnamese restaurant Dinette at 1018 N Shepherd Dr. This is part of the Shepherd Row in the Heights retail center. Outside entrance; photo is from Yelp and Google Maps Interior; photo from Eater
  12. E-commerce business and popular pop-up Underground Creamery moved its production operations to Shepherd Row in the Heights. The ice cream shop shares a space with Pudgy's at 1010 N Shepherd Dr. Pints of ice cream are available for purchase and pick-up via a pick-up window at the shop. News about Underground Creamery operating at Shepherd Row in the Heights was shared in the Houston Heights Foodies group on Facebook fall of 2021, following an Instagram announcement from property owner/developer Braun Enterprises. However, both posts were removed after Underground Creamery's Josh DeLeon complained in the group about the move not being true, despite Braun Enterprises being the landlord (and would be the ones to know since it's their property and sign up tenants). Fast forward to 2022, and clearly the news shared last year was true (though, I think the 2021 Facebook post claimed Underground Creamery would open an ice cream shop alongside Pudgy's move to the shopping center). DeLeon shared the move publicly on Underground Creamery's Instagram in April. It's possible he wanted to share the news on his own terms and timeline (though, his landlord already let the cat out of the bag). There's more in an article from Houston Chronicle published in June. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/food-culture/restaurants-bars/article/Josh-DeLeon-s-Underground-Creamery-is-enjoying-17238941.php Photo of the pick-up window from Houston Chronicle article:
  13. Local cookie purveyor Pudgy's opened their brick-and-mortar cookie shop at Shepherd Row in the Heights. The shop held its grand opening last week. Pudgy's is located at 1010 N Shepherd Dr. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/food-culture/restaurants-bars/article/New-Houston-cookie-purveyor-opening-its-first-17330661.php Photos of Pudgy's exterior facade from Google Maps and Instagram: Streetview signage
  14. The restaurant is the Finch, a concept from Dallas-based Milkshake Concepts. I don't know if it's still planned there or not. The last update about 1212 Waugh pertained to Gatsby's Prime Seafood moving in. There is a thread about it if you want to post more about it: It's a completely different restaurant by a new-ish Houston-based hospitality group. Like the 1212 Waugh property, there's a thread for the 3210 W Dallas property. That thread has news of the new restaurant shared back in January.
  15. Thanks. I thought so. With their recently launched Facebook page for the Houston location and updates there, I figured there may be signage of some kind on the unit. I wouldn't be surprised if Killer Noodle opened this fall.
  16. According to a filing this week with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, In-N-Out Burger is opening at Fairfield Town Center. The filing lists 28320 Northwest Freeway (28320 Highway 290) as the address. This is the site of Brewingz, a local sports bar mini-chain specializing in chicken wings, which means this location is closing. In addition to the forthcoming Cypress location, In-N-Out Burger is also opening two more Houston area restaurants. One is coming to 1717 Lake Woodlands Dr in the Woodlands. Another is opening next year in Webster's new retail development Baybrook East. https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/TABS/Search/Print/TABS2022025427
  17. Recent photos of Fairfield Town Center, the shopping center located in Cypress. The photos are from a leasing listing on Loopnet. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1000-Cypresswood-Dr-Cypress-TX/22873610
  18. I don't know if this is up-to-date or not, but I think it may be since it's also on Loopnet. Fairfield Town Center in Cypress retail listing from Edge Realty Partners: https://edge-re.com/property/fairfield-town-center/ Marketing flyer: https://edge-re.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Fairfield-Town-Center-Lease-Flyer-18.pdf Loopnet lists the address as 1000 Cypresswood Dr. I don't know if that's accurate. Many of the businesses at Fairfield Town Center lists Hwy 290 or Northwest Fwy as an address. Site plan Zoomed site plan
  19. Cherry Block is likely opening its restaurant and market in August. Articles in recent months reported a possible summer opening. The eatery also lists a summer 2022 opening on its social media. If you haven't visited their Instagram account in a while, there are photos and videos of the completed space at Stomping Grounds. A few recent videos showcasing the space: https://www.instagram.com/p/CfwgM70DOoc/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg4VF8qg1Bm/
  20. According to building permits filed and a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, the address for Pho Fix is 1223 W 34th St, Suite C200. I was unable to find an updated site plan for Stomping Grounds for a visual reference. Pho Fix is coming to Garden Oak's mixed-use development Stomping Grounds. The TDLR filing lists the square footage for Pho Fix as 2,094 sf. Construction is estimated to begin in late fall. The restaurant could open in late spring 2023 or early summer 2023. https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/TABS/Search/Print/TABS2022025243
  21. There is a leasing listing on Crexi for the new-ish retail center at 2805 White Oak Dr. It was uploaded in July and updated about two weeks ago. The listing includes a flyer of the property with a site plan. The materials within the leasing brochure appears to be recent since Korean barbecue restaurant Mapojeong is included as one the area retailers. However, it shows suite 200 is available. I think either last year or earlier this year, local dessert business Cupfusion Cupcakery leased the unit (suite 200). I don't know if it's still opening here or not since the listing shows the space as available. Originally, Chick'nCone had plans to open a location at 2805 White Oak Dr, Suite 200. https://www.crexi.com/lease/properties/453040/texas-2805-white-oak-dr https://api-lease.crexi.com/assets/453040/flyer
  22. Korean barbecue restaurant Karne could open its doors this year. It's located at 2805 White Oak Dr, Suite 100, in a newly constructed retail development. The restaurant created an Instagram account earlier this year. Several photos of the build out were shared on Instagram. The most recent post from June shows the signage on the restaurant. https://www.instagram.com/karnesteakhouse/ From April: From June:
  23. The website for Karne is different. Here is the website: http://karnebbq.com/ Also here are older photos of the constructed retail center at 2805 White Oak Drive. This was taken prior to Russo's opening there. From Triad Construction Inc.'s website: "With a surface of 10,000 SF, the architecture and finishes of White Oak Retail Center quickly grabs the attention of passersby! It has a modern architecture design that uses non square elements of glass, stone, and ACM Panels. This building is located overlooking a bayou, and one third of the building is over the bayou. It has am exterior porch, and the parapet of the building is made of ACM panels that have all different polygon shapes."
  24. Is signage up for Killer Noodle yet? Also, are the renovations completed? Killer Noodle is the Japanese restaurant specializing in ramen, replacing Cane Rosso's former unit at 1835 N Shepherd Dr, Ste B. I haven't come across anything about Killer Noodle's Heights location on their Instagram feed and stories. However, a Facebook page for the Houston location was created in June. https://www.facebook.com/Killer-Noodle-Houston-108482885248031/
