  1. Paint striping truck is on site.
  2. When I got there they were about to add the 5th section and using the 6th for counterbalance. Asked a guy involved with the crew and he said will it add about 120' of height to the crane.
  3. Thursday late morning I'm driving down 45 south and see some Liebher crane sections going north and I'm thinking were are those going? I had it in my mind to the TMC3, completely forgetting about this tower crane getting raised this weekend.
  4. Again no Bike Tag to chase, mine is still up for discovery even though a guy claims he found it but a crackhead chased him away.
  5. I took several of my own downtown skyline shots from different angles. First up under Elysian St bridge. Next from near the Sovereign. UHD & MKT trail.
  6. Grant St is a clusterf..k with traffic. I saw a bobtail truck loaded with pipe on the north side trying to get on it to get unloaded and an 18 wheeler with black brick on the south side trying to get in and unloaded. 2 personal vehicles trying to weave their way around all this. I don't know why they don't just shut it off to any vehicles not related to the project at California St and on Montrose. I guess people got to get their lattes and sushi no matter what. It's like a Frogger game over here.
  7. They have already torn up their own 30" sidewalk. I'm hoping this is just temporary but they have created all kinds of obstacles for any future sidewalks.
  8. I wish I was a City of Houston Inspector that wasn't taking money under the table, I would "FAIL" these townhomes so hard they would be torn down. These pics are from the Stanford St side. The pic I took of the northern townhome looks like it's "The Leaning Tower of Pisa". Water rot is beyond repair according to my honest inspector's license.
  9. There may have been more but I could only see these 2 core sample drilling areas that they did a couple days ago. West side of the apartments.
  10. Rode by at their lunch time and they were adding hydraulic fluid to the long reach track hoe with the grapple attachment. Just barely into the southwest corner of the building.
  11. I finally talked with the sign twirlers near Sandman St, I asked how long he was there and how much they paid him. He said he is there for 7 hrs and makes $20 per hour. Said it's a good job for a young guy and a great work out. This is the guy near Shepherd and Memorial. Sandman guy says they switch halfway thru their sift and this one is has way more traffic and more of a workout.
  12. I was wondering if Arch-Con was going to put their name or logo on the building since they are the main tenant.
  13. This project seems to have taken forever, but it looks like they are starting to make some progress. Parking lot is being paved, restaurant equipment is being delivered. And it's not gonna be called Otto's anymore, it's now going to be "Doc's Smokehouse, Fine Steaks and Bar". Otto's doesn't mean anything for the crowd that frequents Washington Ave even though the name has some history in Houston.
  14. As I rode by the front I talked with a guy that appeared to be a craft foremen and asked when this will finish. He said the bosses say in 3 months but he thinks more likely around Christmas. I tend to believe the guys doing the work. I didn't know this project was "M" shaped till today, looks like they have 2 patio/pool deck areas.
