  1. This is so exhausting how Culberson passed a bill that forbids any federal money to go for rail on Richmond and on Post Oak. Where does he think that money goes? I know - Dallas, Austin etc. None the less, Post Oak Bus project is restarting. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/transportation/article/Bogged-down-Uptown-bus-plan-proceeding-6046845.php?cmpid=gsa-chron-result
  2. I'm fairly certain he spent several hundred dollars on the paper mâché adornments on that one side. And it really, really shows.
  3. Generally speaking, Mr. Davis prefers to spend money on the one side of the building, because as you know a high rise (and parking garage) can only be seen from that side. At least that's what appears to be his m.o.
  4. "Oh, is that a garage? With all of Randall's fancy architectural detailing he's known for (faux this, faux that.. Here a faux, there a faux everywhere he builds it's faux) sorry. The old Macdonald had a farm song got stuck in my head. I digressed. I'm sure he will crap it up before it's finished.
  5. I noticed that after my reply. Sorry! I was just worried for a second and didn't take the time to look.
  6. I leave the haif site for 9 hours and all hell breaks loose! This, the fantastic photos from cloud713 on the museum. You all are the best! This Amegy building looks huge.
  7. I saw the major pour today when I drove by but the tower shall be a surprise! Hopefully a pleasant surprise and not a Randall Davis surprise.
  8. Thank you for the great photos. I am happy with how this building fits in on Post Oak. It looks great from all directions with that nice cluster of high rises. I wonder if the building will be built where Ninfas was, or if that'll be scrapped now.
  9. We can certainly hope! It would be fantastic. A hotel in the area would be nice, too.
  10. This should be great news! Hers is the working link: http://swamplot.com/big-news-on-washington-ave/2014-12-18/
  11. Thank you for that nice photo! I haven't been over there in a few weeks. It is amazing how much that street has changed in a few short years.
  12. The old funeral home is being demolished now. I don't know how to post the photo from my phone but it's almost gone.
  13. I wonder if it bothers him that for 100 years before his beloved apartment was built it was a farm. Oh, and the farmers and animals and pastures got "booted". I assume that's totally different.
  14. Seems a bit bitter to me. 30- 40 years as a tenant. Likely at below market rates. They could've owned a place and controlled their destiny.
  15. The perfect release from griping about traffic, etc. And I thank you for that!
  16. Four dozers dozing, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.
  17. Gorgeous. It would look good where Allen Parkway Village is currently located, or anywhere on the bayou. Video is super cheesy Vegas - but wow!
  18. I think it's crazy for him to talk like that. He's got some ulterior motive is my guess.
