  1. It's next to impossible to get a room downtown now. There is a huge need for more rooms downtown.
  2. The Midway guys are top notch. I'm pumped they are the new generation of developers in Houston.
  3. I hate the suburban. It's too big. Why get a suburban when a Tahoe will do?
  4. They will not lose money. And yes, united is scared to death of them flying to Latin America/Caribbean/Mexico
  5. Huh? UAL has a lower market cap despite being a significantly higher market share of flights.
  6. That sort of thing isn't allowed by DT management district
  7. Was at the zoo yesterday and there are actually signs telling you it's part of hermann park
  8. You don't believe that do you? Federal transportation dollars are notorious for massive waste. You get dollars as long as your project fits some silly burocratic formula.
  9. People have looked for a post fossil fuel world for over 100 years. The problem everyone gets back to is that no fuel source is nearly as fungible as fossil fuels. I think conservation is far and away the most likely outcome, with a place still for oil and gas.
  10. More likely the other teams homerun ball but still pretty cool
  11. If they were smart they would share a station in Dallas so ultimately you can go from houston to okc via transfer.
  12. Yes, in a marketplace buyers and sellers try to come together and find something buyers want to buy and sellers want to sell. I'm pretty sure developers just don't go around buying up property because that's part of the bussines model.
  13. I'm glad you're in such a rush to demolish other people's homes. That neighborhood has been around a long time, and it's those rich folks that live there that attract all of the high end retail. Without them, Uptown wouldn't be the same.
  14. I get a memorial area newspaper and the article today mentioned they are actually a step closer to funding. They are close to agreement with federal railroad commission. Not sure what that means but the article implied construction could start in as early as two years
  15. Seasonal would make sense, but A&M enrollment dwarfs that of Baylor. That's all were talking about. It has nothing to do with either the cities of college station or Waco.
  16. It's right down the street from the Chinese consulate. It fits right in I suppose.
