The Kirby Group dining concept going in at 1226 W Clay St is Emma Jane. 

I'm not sure what kind of restaurant Emma Jane will be exactly. Based on its website and Instagram, the eatery promises afternoon tea, champagne & wine, and cocktails. There are also hours listed for breakfast and weekend brunch services.

I'm not sure if D'Oro, another Kirby Group concept, is still planned for 1222 W Clay St. An architectural barriers project filing and building permits for D'Oro have been approved for a while, with construction ongoing. There was also an Instagram for D'Oro earlier this year. However, sometime this summer, D'Oro's Instagram was either hidden or removed.

Houston Business Journal published additional details pertaining to Mr. Nice a few weeks ago. 

As previously mentioned, Mr. Nice is another addition to Harlow District. It's a cocktail bar and cigar lounge located at 1216 W Clay St, Suite 100. Houston Business Journal spoke with Fabio Pineda, who noted he's anticipating opening the bar within the next few months. In addition to Mr. Nice, Pineda owns Soho Garden in Bravery Chef Hall.


Highlights from the article:

The 2,615-square-foot Mr. Nice bar will span two floors. Pineda said the first floor will be a London-style lounge with high-end cocktails and desserts. The second floor will be a Cuban-inspired cigar bar with a member area that will have lockers for storing cigars, Pineda said.

I think the address on the permit is incorrect. Emma Jane is actually located at 1226 W Clay St.

The restaurant is the latest dining establishment from The Kirby Group. It's also one of several forthcoming food and beverage tenants at Harlow District.
