The Instagram page includes a logo of the restaurant. It also includes a bio that reads: "Japanese restaurant coming soon." Additionally, the account is following its sister concepts: Kokoro, Aiko, and Handies Douzo. Prior to a week or two ago, the page wasn't following anyone. There also wasn't a logo or a bio. On Stomping Grounds newly designed website, Himari is included in the list of tenants. When clicking on Himari, there is a pop-up that is supposed to have more information about the business. It's taking over Cherry Block's space at 1223 W 34th St, Suite A-100. La Mex initially planned to open in Ella Oaks, the retail development with Aladdin and La Calle. Additional details from CultureMap: Gonzalez says most of her changes to the space will be cosmetic and are designed to match the look of La Mexicana in Montrose. They’ll include a fresh coat of paint, new banquettes, new chairs, and “The decor will be pretty much the same,” she says. “We want it to be something people are familiar with and have good memories of being at.
