Triton
I literally walked by this lot yesterday. Zero activity and the existing structure hasn't even been touched.

LTAWACS
Nothing so far. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one.
Brando09
The city did quite a bit inside the building at 22 Waugh before handing it over to the developers. They gutted some of it and took out things like sinks and light fixtures etc. The new owners were cited this month for the trash remaining on the back of the property after some of the work they had been doing on the building. The last update I heard was that they were to demo and break ground by summer... But still no real activity yet. I am on the board of the Waugh townhome community that is next to the proposed building, so if y'all hear any new info, please pass it on! Thanks!
swtsig
They're looking for a new equity partner so I wouldn't anticipate anything happening in the near future. That said there are two other proposed developments in the immediate area that have a real chance of happening. skooljunkie
They put up 3 new signs marketing the building along Waugh but removed the previous one stating Summer 2015 completion.
Montrose1100
I wouldn't shed one tear if this building never gets built. I would much prefer a high rise residential on that location.
TexasGeneral
The JLL 2Q report says that this tower has broken ground. Don't know how accurate this is given the report's blurb on 609 Main is clearly out of date. "22 Waugh Drive is a development by Stream Realty and is scheduled to deliver mid-2015. They have broken ground on the 220,000 square foot tower" http://www.joneslanglasalle.com/ResearchLevel1/Houston-Office-Highlights-Q2-2014-JLL.pdf

LTAWACS
so this one is dead?I would say "yes, it is dead" to 3 sigma.
por favor gracias
If so, let's hope this increases the likelihood of the International Tower getting the nod.
Avossos
Well, the signs have been replaced with this guy: image (1).jpeg This looks like they are trying to lease the current space now... which to me is an assurance this one is dead.
Triton
so this one is dead? It doesn't look good. Maybe another forumer can add some new information ( ), but they were last looking for a new equity partner. Chances are, this tower is actually dead. rechlin
And the map on page 2 of the PDF shows the location being west of Kirby, which is also clearly wrong.
toxtethogrady
I thought Stream had a number of projects in the pipeline and financial backing. Did they just lose interest?
swtsig
I thought Stream had a number of projects in the pipeline and financial backing. Montrose1100
I'm rarely thankful projects don't go up. The old design would be a perfect building by the courthouses. It would look like a masterpiece there.
skooljunkie
site update: The real estate signs have been removed. Also, the site is fenced off and interiors are currently being gutted.

skooljunkie
Look like Reno or demo? Hard to say. At this point, I've only seen interior office crap being thrown into the large dumpsters they've hauled on site.
