j_cuevas713
They're attitude comes across a bit arrogant and def misleading. They seem to have the approach of ignoring the truth and making everything seem like it's no big deal, when it is.
IntheKnowHouston
*Taste is readying their new space at 420 Main St. The restaurant is relocating from Midtown to the Byrd Building in downtown Houston. Several posts and Instagram stories have been posted over the last two weeks showing off their new space. * The relocated downtown location is named Taste Kitchen + Bar. It was formerly Taste Bar + Kitchen at its Midtown location at 3015 Bagby St. In the ongoing lawsuit against Don Bowie (chef-owner of Taste), his former business partner alleges Bowie is continually adding descriptors to the restaurant's name (as if that changes the name of the restaurant) to avoid paying money owed to the former partner and the business. The former partner also accused Bowie of other creative ways the chef has been trying to dodge payments like claiming to franchise Taste in Missouri City in an interview on Fox 26 (which Taste in Missouri City closed less than two months after opening). https://www.instagram.com/p/CjGztWLrVm1/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CjL8eLbL-9q/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CjY2CheuL2K/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cjln6StPTQS/ Edited October 14, 2022 by IntheKnowHouston

Either this footage is 2 months old or that U-Haul has been generating significant parking revenue.

Chi-Char-Hou-Dal
Would someone in the know tell me how this can be opening with the mess he left in Midtown? I witnessed the lines at the Bagby street location and his food is good , just seems strange timing to open a new presumably higher rent loc.

I asked myself the same thing but he seems to have a really big following. The last couple of times I've gone to get coffee at Day 6, that place has been packed. Excluding family, friends, and his fraternity brothers and sorority sisters, his popularity from his days as a club and party promoter plays a part. Also cooking at various clubs, restaurants, and private events in Houston, Atlanta, and New York since the mid-2000's. I don't think there is much to dissuade Bowie's supporters. You'd think after three lawsuits all alleging him of fraud and theft, supporters of Bowie may have some reservations about him and his businesses. But that hasn't been the case. Based on the comments in response to Bowie's posts about KTRK / ABC 13 News harassing him, his supporters find no fault in him. It's similar to Turkey Leg Hut's loyal supporters (some of those posts were in his Instagram stories and others on his Instagram page, which were deleted several weeks ago).
