Somerset Green: Residential Community At 3709 Somerset Green Dr.

What a poorly rendered master plan. If I were to do that for one of my clients I'd get laughed out of the meeting.- 102 replies

Circuit: Multifamily At 2424 Capitol St.
brijonmang replied to Urbannizer's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
I don't think this will impact traffic much at all come game days. I have been to probably 30 games and have never had issues with traffic before a Dynamo game. Not saying closing off the block will help at all but most of the traffic is coming from the highway side anyway. I like the design and location and expect more to follow suit.- 263 replies

Shops At Bella Terra At 5574 W. Grand Pkwy S.
brijonmang replied to GrandLakes's topic in Points Southwest
I haven't seen the most up to date land plan but the last I saw there will be commercial and retail plots along 1093 as well as an apartment complex at Canal and 1093. Lakes of Bella Terra will also be occupying some of that space with new housing. Katy Gaston is being extended south and east to meet with Bellaire Blvd from where it ends right now at Bellagio Drive. Also, at some point in the future they are going to realign the Katy Gaston light so that it runs straight into Lakes of Bella Terra instead of having that odd configuration they have now.- 38 replies

I'm not 100% but I thought there were renderings of that floating around a while ago...maybe a year or so ago. Anyone remember that one?- 2,416 replies

brijonmang replied to wxman's topic in Uptown and Galleria Area
Thanks for getting all these pictures...an engineer might have to chime in here but this is the same thing they did with the Skyhouse downtown. Had a rig drilling while simultaneously pumping concrete into the hole.- 988 replies

16-Acre Mixed-Use Development On South Post Oak Ln.
brijonmang replied to TowerSpotter's topic in Going Up!
This. Model doesn't really bring any legitimacy to the design. It is cool to look at though and the project would be something totally new for Houston. I think adding some color to it would make it more appealing but that's probably due to my ADD. I start to lose focus as soon..........oh look a shiny thing- 50 replies

The last I saw this parkway mentioned, it didn't make a full loop. It was more of a north-south corridor from Cypress to south of I-10.

Interesting...If only the Mercer could have taken advantage of this technology. -
Pretty cool, thanks for sharing. These are views that hadn't been available for over 60 years. Cool perspective that *hopefully* won't be around for too long.

HA! The fire department thinks they know my definition of "safe viewing"?? You can tell them to watch for me... I'll be the guy BASE jumping with a GoPro.

Aris Market Square: Multifamily High-Rise At 409 Travis St.
brijonmang replied to Mab's topic in Downtown
I doubt it, Hines is a very large company and at any given time has multiple projects under construction all over the place. I would think it has more to do with where they are in the design/development stages. We've already seen a couple of different versions in just a few weeks which leads me to believe that they are still working out the design. It takes it a bit of time to then finalize construction documents. The other projects were much further along development wise before they went public I'm sure. Hines also has a lot more hoops to jump through with it's location vs projects like Hermann Place.- 1,528 replies

Wow so you have a camera obscura in your car at all times?

I believe he was waiting for confirmation before he started the new thread. Urbannizer was the one who started the thread you referenced. I'm on board with this project. Looks like a definite improvement and adding more residences along the rail line has got to be an easy sell for the young crowd that will most likely be filling these units up.
