    Really excited about the look and hopefully some good economic spur for the area. My biggest hope for the stadium is a video screen operator that knows how to run replays! Is that really so much to ask??

    You are definitely entitled to have that opinion and should not feel bad about it. I grew up playing the game and still do - I have a different opinion. The main problem I have with other soccer fans is the fact they always seem to have to defend soccer's honor. I don't see that nearly as much for any other sport as I do for soccer. To stay on topic, the progress is awesome so far. It's going to look very fresh and clean when built. I'm excited to watch a game there.

    Yeah, the youth is good...until we develop them and they get called to greener pastures. I like having a stock of young, hungry talent but if we don't start having more success the good ones won't be around long enough.

    I hadn't checked on this thread in a while...WOW Lotus DID come out of nowhere! The Elan is gorgeous. And is that a little Pininfarina side slit action on the Elite? Coming straight out of 550/575 Maranello world with those. The Charger too is taking the side "scoop" detail from another illustrious sports car. They have basically the same shape as the Viper's massive slits.

    I think the Astros, Reds, Nationals and Orioles are all up there due to apathy rather than hatred. When was the last time you asked yourself, hey I wonder how the old Orioles are doing? I'll tell you when, probably never.

    I agree we have a tough schedule, but pre-season schedules are kind of like pre-season rankings. We play in one of the tougher divisions so I understand that, but who knows how things will shake out during the course of the year. I think the team is good enough to be successful with the schedule, but I'm hoping it ends up a little easier than the forecast .

    The only positive is that we're only 7 games into the season...although, this may be a negative at the same time, only time will tell. Having Berkman back can't hurt either.

    I'm sure it is meant to be a throwback, like a lot of the other car companies are doing these days. I just don't think the grille fits this car. As far as the engine, that's my bad. I thought I had read about it coming out with a V-12. The fact that it's just a V-8 really makes me wonder why they elongated the front end so much.

    The SLS' new grille looks like a throwback to older models. It doesn't really mesh well in my opinion. The profile of the car is kind of odd too...I know it's a v12 but I think it just looks TOO unbalanced front to back. I guess I'll stick with the SLR for now...

    I don't see any other reason that cul-de-sacs would deter crime other than keeping the road from being a "straight shot" so to speak through the neighborhood. As far as curvy roads, we were told in school that they promote slower driving due to the constant turning and limited visibilty.

    Wow, I hadn't heard all that information about the coaching job in LA. I heard the rumor about Zidane coming to MLS a long time ago, but nothing since then, is there anything there? And how bout those Dynamo's coming back on the "oops" from the big d??? RE PEAT!!!

    I'm glad they are going to re-work that golf course. It has a lot of potential. When I played there in high school, it was a really nice track that was cared for...but since then, it has gone downhill and then some.

    The MLS is definitely gaining ground. The ESPN thursday night game is helping expose it a little more, hopefully next year they have a bigger deal where there are more games during the week and weekend on TV. I would love to see more soccer on the tube.

    I hope it's not a retractable roof...which I don't see as being financially reasonable for a soccer stadium in America. I want to go to some sporting events with rain...soccer is much more fun in the rain.
