  1. Yup! But there's a catch, the studio unit is facing the garage. Literally, all you see is some sky from the balcony and an entire wall of parking garage.
  2. The growth explodes: http://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/news/building-permits-total-73b-for-twelve-months-ending-in-may/
  3. I have tomorrow off before I move to my new office on Monday. Unless someone else wants to go, I don't mind swinging by...?
  4. Ahhhh. I've always thought this was a cool warehouse. Hopefully it is redeveloped. It has so much potential. The one huge problem it will have is the amount of homeless people in this area. If you think the Greyhound area is bad, you haven't been to James Bute Park. It is a nesting ground for drug swaps. Plus, many of them sleep under 59 right there. There's also a Star of Hope nearby which makes the situation worse since they have a good supply of whatever they need there.
  5. You guys are right! Lot is completely fenced off now. 2014-06-17 19.38.14 by marclongoria, on Flickr GHJ Construction Inc. It's a Beijing company... looking at their portfolio, they work on HUGE projects. Maybe this is the 80-story----- Nah, just kidding. 2014-06-17 19.10.33 by marclongoria, on Flickr Random but I don't know if anyone ever posted a picture of this... 2014-06-17 19.13.22 by marclongoria, on Flickr

  8. So there's an 8-story structure and a 7-story structure... do we have two separate threads? 15. Man, really wish my friend picked this place. He's going to live in the Muse on Richmond instead, but this place looked nice in the Austin Skyhouse brochure. Kinda sucks that you have to put down a $200 deposit just to take a look at the units in this place...
  16. What four big apartment complexes? On N Main? Kinda weird that they bought this shopping center. It isn't really that bad. The motel next door between this shopping center and Spanish Flowers needs to be torn down. It used to have a prostitution ring going on there back in the 70s and 80s.
  17. Property is now owned by Jones Lang LaSalle, the same firm developing Six Houston Center.
