Nice idea but I'm afraid the slum lords in that area could care less about tenants backgrounds.

I don't know about Houston but I've always liked the name Tomball.

The problem is to many of them are arrested and then back on the streets after a while doing it again. Like cockroaches until they are totally eradicated they will keep returning.

Yet she keeps getting re-elected. Go figure.

Hope they keep Parsons but not sure they will.

American Motors cars just weren't built to last which was their demise. It's a shame though because they had some really innovative designs. Of course in the 70's and 80's it seemed no American made car was built to last beyond 100,000 miles.

Since we are talking about POS cars, the very first NEW car I bought (owned several older cars previously) was a 72 Gremlin X with a V8. I wanted the V8 so bad I could not afford AC or auto transmission. It still cost me almost $2000. Although it was a POS that baby sure would move. With the V8 and no weight on the back I could burn rubber all day. Sometimes I wish I had sprung for AC like when wife and I took it to Arizona and Nevada and it was like 120 degrees. I like to think of it as the first "crossover" vehicle.

Enough procrastinating. Something needs to be done and I agree with Metro West, this is better then a parking lot.

Well i don't know if it happens everywhere but I do agree a dog is the best deterrent to that type of crime. More so then alarms because the perps know they have several minutes before police will respond. I would definitely consider making a trip to the SPCA if I lived in your area and rescuing a deserving dog. Glad everyone is okay.

Wish I could have seen that game. But no Comcast. Now that they are fun to watch again they are really missing an opportunity to build back a fan base.

I love Windows 7 (64 bit) so have no plans to change on my primary computer. However, not to long ago I bought a small Asus notebook for taking on trips and it came with Windows 8. I was totally frustrated with it at first but with the update to 8.1 it's gotten better. I do like the touchscreen option since trackpads on notebooks and laptops never work that well. I primarily use it just for email and internet anyway. One thing I hate is Windows 8 forces you to use a password.

Just give yourself extra time to get anywhere. Traffic has only gotten worse. Would love to be at Hamilton Pool right now.

The simple rule to follow is to keep up with the traffic in front of you. If you can't, then move to the right. If your already in the far right lane and still can't keep up with the traffic then it might be best to take a bus and let someone else do the driving.

Traffic is bad but you will probably have every thing you need within a one mile radius. Once you learn what streets to avoid you can negotiate your way around the area pretty easily.

That is an awesome truck. Looks like it came right off the showroom floor. I'm thinking it came with a bench seat originally and you installed the bucket seats?

I was behind an F-150 with them yesterday and a woman was driving which leads us to even more questions.

Trucks can't be eliminated during rush hour but I would love to see them denied the use of the left lane on all freeways at all times.
