  1. Someone said the Double Down needed a bun? Will They Build It? KFC & Krispy Kreme
  2. I'm starting to hate them more every day myself.
  3. No way we would be rated the same as the Yankees. Their survey must be terribly flawed.
  4. Yeah. I'm totally with you there. With the right management I think it could have still been a hit. It's so cool to go eat and then stroll around. Thats why City Centere, the Woodlands Market Place and so many Town Centers are cropping up. If anything Westbury Square was ahead of it's time. ps: The Houston "hippies" were the ones into "cool" places back then. Everyone else was into air conditioned malls.
  5. Failure to pay child support I believe.
  6. Don't twitter but looking forward to seeing his photos.
  7. LOL. It cannot be any worse than that taco bell burrito supreme you just finished. Now you have me craving one of those.
  8. Me too. After reading Hoffman's column yesterday, I must have one. Double down
  9. Cool. Dallas twice within a month's time. One preseason of course. As long as they win those two then I'll be happy.
  10. I have every last season episode recorded on my DVR. Going to have a Lost marathon some day soon. Just hope I don't here the ending before I have a chance to watch it.
  11. At least it should be easy to get tickets this season. Astros may be giving them away in another month when we are mathematically eliminated.
  12. The difference is I can pick and choose most goods and services but there's not much competition in movie theaters. Just be careful not to park in any of the shopping center parking lots nearby. I hear those are major tow-away places.
  13. I know that's where theaters make their profit but at some point you have to ask just how much of a markup is to much?
  14. We often sneak in our own snacks at movie theaters. Along with a flask. A couple shots of bourbon makes movies like Avatar even more enjoyable.
  15. We often drive to the Edwards Greenway theater because most theaters out in the suburbs are usually full of irritating teenagers that talk constantly or people that bring little babies and kids that whine throughout the movie. It's worth it even though you have to also pay for parking. I do find myself going to movies less and less but some movies just beg to be seen on a big screen.
  16. Gotta agree with dbigtex56. That building probably has more personal sentimental value to me then anyone else on this site but having worked there a few years in the late 80's/early 90's it is definitely a building that's seen it's better days.
  17. Interesting. They also cover Rice University, thus the Rice owl insignia on their trucks and uniforms.
  18. My problem with it is they don't have to pay taxes because they are a church. Even though Joel is raking it in. Yet they receive city services. That's a problem I have with most any church but especially mega churches. Sorry If I offended any one. It was not on purpose.
  19. I represent that remark! I think I saw Jesus at one of the concerts I attended. To me the Summit was one of the best concert venues in town. (Even if the bathrooms were overcrowded). I hated to see the city part with it.
