  1. LOL. This was long before they built all the "gangstas" apartments in the area.
  2. Our payroll is higher than most teams so don't blame it on Drayton. Doesn't look like we are going to have much of a season unless everyone on the team has an above average year.
  3. Ahh. Love Street. Great memories there. I have seen the Love Street Light Circus Band perform a couple of times. They are really good.
  4. Try this: chronicle school report card I presently live in Sugar Mill (for now, selling house soon) and loved all the schools my kids went to. Especially Sugar Mill Elementary. Sugar Mill seems to have a little less traffic and easier access to 59 then the others you mentioned.
  5. Interesting. Sounds like you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Also sounds like the injuries could have been much worse. Glad you came through it okay. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Wow. I'm more interested in how you have been hit by a moving vehicle on more than one occasion. Were you riding a bike? Were you jaywalking? Are you one of those people that stand on corners soliciting money during the day? Inquiring minds want to know.
  7. Since the statue of limitations has passed I will confess to having done that on more than one occasion when I had a LeMans convertible in the late 60's.
  8. If your looking for a great neighborhood in Sugar Land with great schools, I'll have my house in Sugar Mill on the market within the next month. Just saying.
  9. Voted for South Texas University since it was called South Texas back when i went to school there in the early 70's.
  10. So what do you do when your NOT walking around the Third Ward drinking a forty?
  11. I'm with you TexasVines. I can't stand ignorant, lazy people that are a drain on our society. I don't care what race/color they are. Seems whenever you bring up these abominations the PC police assume your talking about a particular race/culture and have no right to do so.
  12. Loved Don's. Went there many times.
  13. You might be interested in my web site. Houston Rocks
  14. Still have my Technics SL-1200MK2 turntable I bought from them in the 70's.
  15. I thought Sharpstown went down to Hillcroft. (Wasn't the old Sharpstown Drive-in at Bellaire and Hillcroft?} Definitely gets REAL bad on the other side of Hillcroft. Either way I agree that side of 59 is trash but at one time it was really nice.
  16. LOL. The part between 59 and the City of Bellaire is the WORST area in Southwest Houston. That's where my friends lived. (Near Long Middle School). That's where half the illegal aliens in Houston live.
  17. I have two good friends that just moved away from Sharpstown after having lived there since the 70's that would disagree with you. If it's so safe why are burglar bars popping up everywhere? Go by the golf course and ask about the increased vandalism and golf cart thefts. Why the increase in security at HBU? You can have your statistics. Sharpstown is no longer a desirable place to live or shop. At least not for white people.
  18. It was called South Texas Junior College when I went there.
