  1. Where is Breakfast club I have heard wonders about that place. Directions please I must try it out.
  2. I remember when Hwy 6 was just 2 lanes from 290 till I-10, aslo 529 was two lanes and it was more like a Farm to Market road. FM 529 and Fry Rd was really country but you will not tell now and wait till they build Grand Parkway. That East area of 529 will be all development probably strip centers.
  3. The Ones in the depressed section are for maitnence of some sort, or maybe storage. Ask Maxconcrete he would know for sure.
  4. I have to say Convience for me to ride LRT or GRT. Right now If i had an option to ride LRT, GRT, or CRT to get to work the convience(stops, time, safety). I would like the otion but I get off work late and usually have to make a deposit @ the bank on my way home, or if i wanted to stop somewhere to eat would the trains still be running?
  5. Good game again against Puchua, heart breaker on penalty kicks. It show the gap between Mexican leagues and the US leagues are closing fast. GO DYNAMO
  6. I do believe a renovated mall like the renovated Memorial City Mall would do wonders, seeing how it is in Greenspoint activity center. Northline Mall renovating has more to do with the North GRT/LRT line running down Fulton. I would rather see Greenspoint reinvent it self like MCM ( Memorial City Mall). I think they should continue on Northline as more pedestrian/transportation friendly with rail stations nearby. I think Greenspoint is about the same distance from Woodlands as MCM is from Katy Mills. With Greenspoint that would give the Northsiders two options for malls in Greenspoint or WillowBrook. When I lived on the Northside(I-45) we always choose Greenspoint over Northline as it was much Nicer. I hope Northline will be more like Gulfgate but with GRT. After living on the Northside I never remember going to Dearbrook unless you lived on the Eastex Frwy. . The Northline Renovation is looking nice(I hope we Do not loose Magic Johnson Theaters.) The Greenspoint Mall renovation-could happen a lot sooner. WillowBrook Mall Renovation could happen alot sooner also.
  7. I heard we might get up to 8 inches of rain in some parts, it sure would be nice for a break in this heat, although rain would mess up my running out side.
  8. From 6-11 you can only go East and from 2-8 you can go West. Hope that helps.
  9. I think that the more mass Transit options we have the better. All we have now is bus or car, of course more people will take there car, but with more options not as many people would be inclined to take their cars. Also, what works for one person may not work for another person, so I think by expanding our options(HOV, LRT, GRT, BUSS ETC) will be in our better intrest.
  10. This is really sad news! Hes in a better place now!
  11. According to schematics there will not be an overpass @ Cypress N Houston. I noticed that Jones will be extened though to W Little york eventually. I am curious to were Jones Rd will intersect with Fm 529 y W Little York. I also like how they incorporated a bypass on the feeder for Fm 529 so that you dnt have to stop @ Senate or Beltway 8. It looks like the tollway will be built over some new buildings on 529 and Brittmore as well as a new Neighboorhood next to Cy-Falls.
  12. Yea I saw on ABC13.com that residents of Macgregor Place, close to Peck elementary fear the LRT will leak electricity into their homes and childern will cross the LRT dangerously. I work on MLK & OST and I am glad they are building it there even if the construction interupts my buisness. I am sad that they are going to tear out the Shell station @ OST on MLK. I have shoped there for years and the Man that owns it is very friendly. To my knowledge I thought the SE line would be BRT upgradable to LRT.
  13. Amobi Okoye signs and Texans have no hold outs. Its going to be real interesting to see if Schuab can lead on the field as he seems to lead off the field.
  14. Now thats a vision, a 3,000 FT building thats a city inside a city. If built I wonder if the building would have its own zip code. I remember the Dome having its own zip during Katrina.
  15. Any one attend any of the 290 meetings? I missed the one on the 24th at the Bery center.
  16. I do not know if a 3,000 ft building would be any more of a joke in Houston as the Williams Tower is in uptown. After all they do say everything is bigger in Texas and what would be better than having the biggest building in height then in Texas biggest city.
  17. I think strict enforcement of the Hov rules would be fine, plus elimnating tour buses also. There are plenty of times I get stuck behind an A**hole who is driving alone and drives slow as to think he or she is not brining attetion to themselves while backing up the lane for a mile, also I hate when I get behind a tour bus who drives 45 MPH. I find Metro busses usually drive the same speed as the rest of the traffic. A s many times I ride Hov I can not think of many times I got stuck behind an old person who was driving slow.
  18. Its almost August and I hope they announce it will be a Downtown location. With the way the Dynamo are playing and after watching the rematch of the Mls Cup, a strong centralized new stadium location is sounding awesome for fans .
  19. Its sad to see Biggio go. I just hope Mclane uses the money that he is getting from all the Biggio attention. To put together a winning team next year. Biggio retiring is looking good for the Astros as I suspect people will flock to games just to see him in action before he is gone.
  20. Its interesting to see how more and more buildings are popping up on the vacant land on I-10 as construction is wrapoping up on alot of the segments. It sure is better than an ugly shopping center.
  21. Maybe the architecht and developer wants it to fit in with the current skyline in Greenspoint. I think this is great for Greenspoint including the mall renovation. The area dos not deserve its reputation. When I lived on the Northside a while ago we always went to Greenspoint because we thought it was nice. I awlways was confused when I would hear someone say Greenspoint was in the Hood.
  22. I hate to see them demolish the Montague, but you can not fight progress. I think someone eslse said that it is not new to demolish something old to build a new tower in other cities like Chicago and NYC.
  23. I think this would be awesome, speaking as some one who raley ever gets to see snow, and has never been skiing. I think an Entertainment district would be cool especially in the North East, but if it were in the dome I do not think that would be a bad idea either. Reliant Park containing this would be great!!!
  24. I would imagine this area can't stay vacant too long after the Intermodal is built.
