    I agree, plus look at the guy in Dubai he just spends like its is nothing, albeit he has more money. I think maybe Younan might just want to build something grand with his money seeing how you cant take it with you when you die.

    Football City 1st then Baseball then Basketball. Even though the Rockets have won championships Football is # 1, then Baseball like posted above they have the Attendance without winning. The Rockets only sell out or get close to selling out with the Marqee games. Texans tickets are hard to get compared to Astros and Rockets, plus you can't forgett about the tailgaters.

    Francis did avg 6.4 APG during his time here in Houston w/out the caliber of players the Rockets have now - YAO who was a rookie & Soph. I was watching video of Francis and think that his penetration skills will help very much. Hopefully as stated above he can coexist with the rest of the Rockets and realize this is YAO and T-macs team. Its funny because I always wondered if there was a chance he would ever play for the Rockets again.

    On 290 right past Telge, I beleive, past Cy Fair HS. Yea I saw on Fry rd next to that new HS that there was an Intersection with Cypress N Houston.

    Yea it runs behind Cy-Fair HS and Barker Cypress intersects w/ Cypress N Houston. I'm sure they will build an overpass w/ the new freeway, like with Green House and West Green on I-10.

    When I used to travel to San Marcos, Tx I remember stoping at a BBQ place past Lulling on 183 in Lockhart, tx and it was the best. BTW dose ne one know what happend to Drexlers BBq shop. I never been there but I saw it on Marvn Zindlers list and the last I saw they took down the big signs facing the I45.

    Thats the Hard cold truth about Houston, unless there is alot of pedestrian freindly activty centers, even if built Up to the sidewalks with parking lots in the back, most car traffic would pass it up to find a store with parking up front. Hopefully Houston can adapt as the city grows, but adapting hapens over time.

    I forget how big the Bayou gets on the East end! About those tours, ne one have info on how to take one? I never knew they had tours down the ship channel. I got to get a camera!!

    I honestly could not watch nor care about soccer and I hought it was boring, untill I went to ck out a Dynamo game last year and the crowd was crazy. I was lost because I knew nothing about soccer, but since then I now see how soccer is a real competitive sport. Had some family got to the Mex-CRC game, and they said it was an amazing atmosphere. There are some really talented players across the world in compare to the MLS. GO DYNAMO!!!

    This stadium is supposed to be around 70 Million and the Berry Center in CFISD was @ about 89 Million, although it dose include an arena. I wonder how much more it would take to get a retractable roof On the Dynamo Stadium. I will just settle for a great veiw of the Downtown Skyline.

    The new Criminal Justice Center is real nice and offers some good veiws of DT from the higher floors.

    When I went to Cy Springs we had a pretty good basketball team and went to state, and I know Cy- Falls and Langham Creek to have some pretty good basketball teams. I remember trveling to Aisd center on aldine Mail route.

    Me also, I forgot the intermodal is on the other side of I-10, hence the transfer to main and or walk to the intermodal being inconvenient. I hope that when they do upgrade to LRT they will improve, pedestrian access, and aesthetics, but I guess we should not hold our breaths! It would also be nice to see the lines spur more mixed used development over time along the lines that would give riders more reasons to ride the LRT/BRT.

    Agreed and improvement is welcome by me!! We will just have to adapt once again, like drivers had to driving next to the RED line. I do not think the diamond lanes will be that bad, but not crossing over the up track is crazy. I work in the South East and I think that getting a Rapid line is better than not getting one at all. Once said and done will this SE line run to the intermodal? And if so would a transfer there be faster than walking from the Se line to the RED line? I would like to think that after implementing these new lines that if the pedestrian connections and grade separations are hurting the ridership that metro would improve the pedestrian connections and add grade separations at major thoroughfares.

    Agreed, I have to say that the trade off of better schools & lower crime is worth the wait in traffic, not to mention worth the toll. Especially when you can take P&R or carpool. The $2.50 is justified by me just by saving my time. I want a Bentley also, but I can not afford it.

    The state has in fact passed such a law and are in the process with insurance companies to verify insurance information by the license plates. SB 1670

    From my memory there is old RR ROW inside the loop along westpark untill kirby and then runs along the SW FWY untill Spur 527. This old RR was removed for WPT but im not sure where this RR went from Spur 527. I do not remember but I saw somewhere it showed that this RR used to run all the way to the east of downtown, I believe it was west of the old Colombia Tap RR.

    Which overpass? I believe there will be a freeway all the way to Austin one day, and in order to build it there will have to be bypasses built or have the freeway come straight through their towns. They have mad some improvements on 290 between I think Breanham and Giddings or Giddings and Elgin. The trip from Houston is not bad Except that part where the highway is not devided.

    Yea I was watching the game on the spanish channel because the quality was alot better than on channel 55, NE ways I agree that play pretty much won the game. Pat did hit him hard, but he did go over and check on the guy and make sure he was not hurt bad. The guy like rolled over 2 or 3 times!!!

    A group of residents want to add a extra left & right turn lane and keep it ground level fearing the buisness's will close like @ the Hempstead overpass. Also see this thread Rendering of Overpass
