  1. I personally believe they help from personal experirence where I remeber w/out speed humps(bigger than speed bumps) have mad quite on inpact townwood dr off W Oreom compared to the paralell street Waterloo where they gun it without interuption.
  2. Tonight @ Wings N More on I-10 and Silber Rockets viewing party and craziest fans wearing RED have chance to win RED ROWDIE season tickets, durign the Rockets vs Utah Jazz game.
  3. Correct if I am wrong but didn't the small market owners want revenue sharing and big market owners like Mcnair did not want to share revenues.
  4. Although he has not won a WS, he is a pretty amazing talent, and will get paid once again especially since his agent is Boras.
  5. Agreed, although he was horrible to get the offense going at the beginning of the game and at the end of the game(Although IMO I contribute this to the fact it was opening night jitters, I just do not want to see them fall apart again like that at the end of the game with a 12 point lead. I think if Steve competes and gets into shape he will get some minutes as Rafer tires. LMAO the bucket score by Luke Walton for the Rockets ended up being the game winner.(Not to take away from Shane though. Great shot)!!!
  6. I agree, IMO it sounds like they want all of the profits from the new operation, because they are already getting cuts from the buisness, and use of the parking garage and get to keep the revenue from that.I think that money should off set the so called losses they would get. Personally I do not see people that pay to go to the Rodeo and Texans games wasting their time at the hotel since a majority already live in Houston. I can see this bringing in more out of town buisness, especially seeing how it is right next to the rail line.
  7. The voters give Texans and Rodeo new Stadium now they want to control what happens with it. I agree, who's idea was that? It seems to me the tax paying public should decide whats gonna be done w/ the dome seeing how we are still paying on the renovations.
  8. Can not wait for the game tonight and can not wait for the renderings and an announcement also.
  9. I dnt know if it will gain more than the Harrisburg line as I am not familiar with that area too much, but I think the Griggs line has some potential. If they can redevelop Scott and OST I can see MLK and Griggs doing the same. As OTC pointed out the line will tear out many undesirable properties and if the land value goes up I can see the Shrine of The Black Madonna selling off alot of the land they bought to combat against crime in the area. I have also noticed they have been upkeeping the land better latley.
  10. LeBlanc recalled that drivers could once exit Texas 3005 on a ramp at the end of the seawall and drive onto the beach. Those beaches eroded decades ago, and the ramp has been barricaded. It's at the west end of Seawall Blvd before it turns into San Luis Pass Rd on msn live maps birds eye view you can clearly see the ramp is baricaded and no signs of a drivable beach.
  11. Also NEW BEACHES here. This is good news for Galveston and Houston. I always thought if Dubai can build those huge man made Islands we could atleast rebuild our beaches. Lets just hope a major Hurrican dose not wash up all the efort once complete.
  12. Yea my girlfriend calls it "GHETTO" food, and she jokes That Im used to that GHETTO food!!! . Yea I noticed that about the schematics, money talks I guess.
  13. They are really making progress on this stadium. I just hope this dose not cancel out Houston's chance of ever hosting another SuperBowl especially after the succes we had hosting it in 2004.
  14. Thats probably because we did not have a team for five years and the Texans and Cowboys do not play that many meaningful games. Im sure if they were in the same division it would be diffrent.
  15. Curious as to will the SE line run to the intermodal or will it be a transfer to the Red line. I believe I read somewhere it was supposed to go to the intermodal, but with it now being LRT I was wondering if it would be like the Uptown/ U line where they could go on one anothers tracks?
  16. I eat there quite often as matter fact during lunch. The prices are good and I enjoy the food. Very nice people that run that shop!!
  17. Ive seen the court in person before and after and I believe it is a great improvement from the old red court which to me in comparison seemed blah.
  18. I was at the rockets game last night and it dose not look bad from ground level but dose smell like urine as many places do DT
  19. No they kept us pretty much updated and I talked to gentleman who owns the gas station in the middle of Mlk. He said that they are going straight down the middle of that wide median where MLK splits, and he has no choice but to let them bulldoze. Its sad because I will miss that gas station as I always walk across the street to buy snacks and drinks during the work day. I think this will be great especially seeing how I watch cars all the time go the wrong way on MLK right where it splits at that Shell station.
  20. On this map it still shows it going to Eastwood any chance the Chronicle got this one wrong?
