  1. The overnight rain postponed the mat pour but will start at 1am Sunday morning according to one of the supervisors on site. Police are manning a couple of intersections and have all night. Talked with one off duty policewoman who said it rained most of the night. Supervisor said the amount of rain they got overnight won't affect the pour since the bottom of the mat is already lined with concrete but they will have to pump it out.
  2. Building demo permit. Balls Development owns the building next to this that was already demolished. These two are going to be one project. https://ballisdevelopment.com/3314-branard/
  3. Pretty sure that wood is for the current apartments going up. It's going to be a wood frame instead of steel frame.
  4. Since they installed a tower crane base this is going to be a cast-in place parking garage.
  5. This is across the street from the Global Student Housing on Scott St.
  6. Arcosa worker I talked with said the basement area is 15' deep. He said he thinks it's going to be a parking lot and they were originally going to demo the other building but plans changed and now Ballis Development is going to renovate it instead.
  7. Guy I know working at this project just told me......"The mat pour for the bldg. It is scheduled to start @ 1am Sat. and will go through until 6am Monday. It is going to be 9000 cyds. 6 pumps will be out here."
  8. There is a pedestrian bridge over IH 10 underneath Elysian St. bridge. The city has plans to build a road that will connect San Jacinto St. to Fulton St. but that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.
  9. "Four formerly suspended BCycle stations are back in use in Houston's Midtown area following a partnership between Houston Bike Share—the nonprofit that operates Houston BCycle—and the Midtown Management District. The stations are located at the following locations: Milam Street at Webster Street Ensemble/Houston Community College rail stop Austin Street at Gray Street La Branch Street at Alabama Street BCycle officials first announced the stations were back in operation at the end of March. As part of the agreement, the Midtown Management District has agreed to provide $7,500 in quarterly funding to keep the stations running in 90-day intervals." https://communityimpact.com/houston/heights-river-oaks-montrose/transportation/2023/04/13/4-suspended-bcycle-stations-reactivated-following-financial-support-from-midtown-district/
  10. Some movement on this, two plumbing demo permits. This is the same plumbing company that did the demo at the Fairfield Sawyer Heights project.
