I found myself hoping the Horns would stop him at every angle. They contained him, to a point, I happen to be on the Bush bandwagon now though. Vince is an awesome player, Bush is more versatile. We supposedly have a great QB already, maybe Carr will EXPLODE with Bush in the backfield. Red, you and nmain are gonna hate it though, you'll actually have to cheer on a guy named Bush ! I don't see Vince coming out, he is smart, I think he'll get his edumucation and get PAID next year. He is the King of Austin, hard to give that up. But, money does strange things to people.

The Rose Bowl could have gone either way. I am totally happy that the Longhorns had the testiscular fortitude to not lay down and die at the end. It showed what a winner is all about, BUT, Vince's knee was definately down in the 2nd quarter, and the TD should have been called back, but I think the 'Horns would have made a TD on that possession regardless, so it is a mute point. The USC fullback number 21 showed me something last night though, that cat was like SHAFT, a bad motherBEEP ! On another note, I am glad that you have thick skin there semipro, I just had to poke a little fun, reading your version of text messaging is another reason that makes coming here one of the joys in my so-called life. (psssssst) semipro, seriously, if you want to borrow my copy of H.O.P. just say the word. Don't tell anyone I wrote this to you, these other "intellectuals" on here don't understand what it's like to be us.

It was barely a decade ago that the Rockets won back to back. Semipro is just the stereotypical "fairweather fan". Since semipro is "predicting" things, I'll go ahead and predict that someone gets semipro a copy of "Hooked On Phonics" in the near future. Please don't try to compare Gruden to Capers. Capers couldn't hold Gruden's jock ! The era of Capers is over, I'm sure some smart sports journalist will be calling it something witty like, the "Error of Capers". Dan Reeves might risk ANOTHER heart attack, and take the reigns if asked, who knows. Number 1 pick ! Man, there are so many ways to go with that, but alas, we will get stuck with the obvious, and take Bush. YAAAAWWWWNNNNNN ! Oh well, I look forward to a 500 season next year.

Hmmmmmmm.... Wasn't David Carr a number 1 pick, and he has turned out to be a big steaming pile of number 2 sitting in the pocket with a target on his chest. Get a probowl lineman or two that can add some experience and toughness on that O-Line and try to get a franchise receiver somehow. Red, I personally think they should fire the whole lot and grab every player on the current UT roster, including Coach Brown. They would have at least been 500 this year. Not a huge UT fan, but I love the way Vince Young and his team plays ! BTW, nmain, be careful, that is how rumors get started !

Well, in Carr's defense, it's a little hard to see who's open when you have a Defensive End in your face. Davis is good for 1200 to 1300 yards if you can get a line up there. We have a real opportunity here to build a real team, can't rely on ONE guy to turn it around.

Ok, here is the scenario of what Houston SHOULD do. If they get the No.1 draft pick, use it to trade for some MORE draft picks in the early rounds so they can pick up some linemen and a receiver. OR, trade for a pro-bowl lineman and some draft picks. There is really nothing wrong with Dominic Davis. If Houston starts winning then the seats will fill back up. One guy is NOT gonna turn it around for Houston. Dan Reeves will be smart and trade the number 1 pick for more options. You watch.

Agreed, I think Roger could have easily had 17 to 18 wins, if we had some bats for him .

Well, Clemens will probably wait til late May to decide that he will INDEED come back. So, do you try to court some "big guns" for offense, and then at the last minute they announce Roger is back.
