    Well, I am 35 and remember loving that show as a kid, it came on channel 39 on Sundays. He really did seem like such a nice man. I don't know if the shows I saw in the 70's were reruns or not. I just remember that Houston Rasslin' came on afterwards. I just found out from my mother, that those shows were NOT reruns. That gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. AAAAHHHHH ! Goodtimes.

    Because 24hour fitness, has this city "locked up" for the most part. I wouldn't be surprised if Crunch and 24hour weren't owned by the same company.

    Mattress Mac is not going anywhere, he has an Annual Tennis Cup Debacle to keep writing off, got to keep the money coming in from somewhere. He is a really good guy, I heard a "tyrant" to work for, but that man is there almost everyday, right at the front door when you walk in. Gives tons back to the community.

    Yep, Peppermint Park's building is still there, and still painted in the red and white stripes. 59S. at Beltway8. I drove by the old PP building the other day, and it has been painted a tan color. OH WELL !

    It is pretty demolished, but Medical offices is what's goin' up, there is a big sign announcing it out front.

    Town&Country Mall, will be turned into all Medical offices. They are renovating it right now.The Luby's cafeteria will stay. The Land across beltway 8 is a staging area for the I-10 construction right now, I believe they are going to build a highrise there eventually, perhaps a Hotel. The land used to be a Gibson's years and years ago, then Houston Nusery rented it out the parking lot for awhile.

    Shakey's Pizza, on 610 south, Pipe Organ Pizza on 45 south and my all-time favorite, Swenson's Ice cream parlor in Northwest and Almeda malls. Now a more notable would be Planet Hollyweird, but I really don;t think anyone really misses it. I worked there for awhile, what a nightmare.

    If nightlife isn't your thing, try a little daylife, try going to La Strada on westheimer and montrose for brunch. A few posers, but some of the best looking "talent" in the city go there for belinis and a little food.

    Ok, boys and girls, i'll help spill the beans here. Six Flags is getting out while they still can, and the property still worth Buu-Kuus of dollars. I know the "rumor" of DisneyWorld coming to Katy, or just outside of it, has been floating around for years. Do you think if Disney did come to town that Astroworld could function and still make a dollar ? No Way my friends ? That is why they are getting out. Mickey, I'll be shakin hands with you soon.
