  1. In case you didn't see in the comments: https://fatproperty.app.box.com/s/63mgm4wxv1uzdun2k2u0 I'm sure the interior before photos were the same. Once renovation began, they found rot under everything.
  2. Is this too much to ask for? http://parisbytrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/gare_de_lyon_blvd_diderot_optimize.jpg
  3. Haha. Two of them, actually. Didn't notice that before.
  4. I think anything would be a net improvement for the neighborHOOD. Exhibit A: screenshot from Google Maps streetview.
  5. From the Twitter account: "NOW LEASING! Office & retail space available. For more leasing information call Karol Snyder at (713) 661-0400 ext. 304 or email karol@cpc-tx.com"
  6. I agree. To me, the clock tower looks like one that would be in an old-timey railroad depot.
  7. I'm still pissed off that they switched the development plan to put the apartments next to the rail stop and split the park. The might as well call this Camden Park.
  8. I'm glad I don't work nearby. I would be too tempted to stare out the window and watch all day.
  9. http://houston.novusagenda.com/agendapublic/ See meeting agenda for 11/12/14. Some items of interest: Approving a waiver and release of a restriction on a certain tract of land located at 3300 Main Street in the Main Street Addition Subdivision, Houston, Harris County, Texas The Administration recommends approval of the FY15 Operating Budget for Midtown Redevelopment Authority (the Authority) and the FY15 - FY19 CIP Budget for Reinvestment Zone Number Two (the Zone). The FY15 - FY19 CIP totals $93,992,215, and includes provisions for the design and construction of theMidtown Superblock Park, Superblock Parking Garage, Southeast neighborhood street reconstruction and Main Street enhancements.
  10. There is a meeting next week that will include updates on all current projects. Of course I will be out of town...
  11. LOTS of progress has been made! This one good enough for ya?
  12. Looks like Traffic Lounge is close to opening. Yet another rail-side spot in Midtown!
  13. It's the same way where they started removing the facade on the back side where the colorful paint splatters are. Can't they just add bracing to some interior columns and remove the exterior bracing?
  14. It's been a mini lake the last couple times I've driven by. It might be a few more days until they can get back in there.
  15. I couldn't snap a picture, but they've got the glass wrapped all the way around to the back side by the parking garage.
  16. Nice! I wasn't expecting this so soon. We need to a construction cam set up on Larry's balcony for all of these projects.
  17. It looks like they finally started ground work for the townhouses that will replace the homeless shelter on Austin (between McIlhenny and Hadley) that was torn down last year. I'm happy that the former drug den is being replaced, but it looks like my view of skyline will be gone in a few short months. Le sigh.
  18. Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but they've got about half of the wall taken out behind the shroud.
  19. Hmmmm... Looks like they still need to tint the ones that broke. Nice progress though.
  20. Wow, it's awesome that development is finally pushing toward the Expreso and Greyhound stations. I wonder how much time is remaining on the Shell station's lease. And I imagine they might have some issues getting those gas storage tanks removed.
