  1. Living inside the loop has given me the benefit of the doubt as to names. I only say it's actually close to downtown because it most likely will be close to downtown But I stand corrected it seems!
  2. What are you talking about? I've never heard people refer to downtown as all of 610. People know montrose, River oaks, Highland Village, etc. Those areas aren't referred to as "downtown", they have their own names! I have never met anyone who refers to our Galleria as "downtown" either. To Houstonians, it is "the Galleria", and that's what we're arguing.
  3. Closer to the Galleria more than anything else
  4. In Houston, the city that embraces its urban sprawl, "close to downtown" is definitely not a vague statement. There are only a few areas that qualify as "close to downtown" that have the capacity for this.
  5. For trains, I definitely don't. I love Chicagos L
  6. No Slick, we're entitled to delicate flower and moan just as Metro is entitled I push their dates back. And a month is not really going to change anything as per the number of trams; it's not like those are easy things to manufacture. *delicate flower Should be "female dog"
  7. Actually, SN would only land their craft here. So far it's just a glorified runway.
  8. No it really does actually. The blue line is how far drivers must pull forward to turn right onto Studewood, which has an unusual incline and curve that makes it more difficult for drivers trying to take the red arrow path.
  9. So apparently it's finally opening on May 23, according to swamplot. Anyone else looking forward to seeing it open after the Superbowl?
  10. It would make that intersection a lot safer. Really hard to see cars approaching from i10 when you're trying to turn off of the street.
  11. I don't understand why this is surprising then? what's changed?
  12. Do we know for certain there won't be retail or entrance on that side? There hasn't been any concrete (lol) details
  13. I don't have a problem with the skirt but that's two projects that we've seen today that have a similar grey tone that is looking eerily similar to the Mercer... Up close it looks dope tho
  14. It could definitely use a little bit of color. Some sort of climbing vine on the walls would be cool.
  15. I mean it's only the second one here...this isn't China where you see 20 copies of the same bundling all clumped together....I don't think it's fair to call Skyhouse "run of the mill" just yet...maybe on the Skyhouse Main thread
  16. It is weird because they're impliying that Sean Connery is not the biggest..
  17. It's supposed to appeal to a certain psychopathic group that have always dreamed of living inside their favorite actors..
