  1. That's the site Micro Center is moving to, which was asked by the user Larry quoted.
  2. Going on three days with only 5 hours of sleep and I thought the title read 73 story...
  3. It's not hard and I don't want to give anything away that could tie me back. Just think of the community colleges in Houston and search google...
  4. True, maybe after Phase 2 this lot will be cleaned up for a potential Phase 3? Here's to holding out hope...
  5. This is the only plausible explination I can think of and I've been procrastinating for a while. Seriously though, GP has a lot of great potential and I'm excited to see what comes next. Maybe we'll see some new info on the university moving in; they haven't announced anything but if you search for the right thing on Google you'll find some juicy details.

  7. Question by the uneducated; since PM-Realty bought the Chase building right across the street, is it safe to assume that would become another prime location for redevelopment? Perhaps a Weslayan Part 2?
  8. I can always count on Larry to provide a great distraction while I procrastinate my school work. Also to stay on topic, this is going up pretty quick. Any ideas what's gonna happen with that beautiful piece of land a few blocks up, as per Larry's pics?

  10. Yeah you're right, I just expected something a little bit nicer going into Houston's "Premium" Outlets Also, I heard a rumor that Bridgeland is going to be building the next "Mall of America" except bigger. True?
  11. I had a lot higher expectations for this piece of land, especially right next to the outlet mall. Oh well
  12. Any update on what's going on here? There's a couple of small parcels next to the Taco Bell and Whataburger under construction but other than that it's an empty driveway with a bunch of weeds.
  13. Good point. 3615 Montrose and The Flats on Fairview are both beautiful designs and I would have no issue at all with multiple "small" buildings on this scale if it means building up Houston's core.
  14. Wow so true. I understand underground wiring is more expensive and time consuming but you'd think we'd at least develop a way to bring that cost down by now. However, after traveling through various Latin American countries, I've learned to be slightly more comfortable with our exposed infrastructure. In Guatemala City I passed through what I thought was a tunnel but turned out to be just exposed wire that completely blocked out the sun. It looks so industrial and was likely put up in a hurry with little to no planning.
  15. That wasn't my full post...but I agree, the East End could benefit immensely with a project on this scale.
  16. I'm not NOT okay with them, but it's kinda disappointing to see all these 50-60story (and supertalls) in other cities around the nation while the best we can get is these little stumps. All in the name of growth, I guess.
  17. Exactly, that's what I'm saying. We don't have natural beauty on the scale of some cities so we need to do what we can to create our own. This project is a perfect example of that, my only issue is that it doesn't seem like enough. Obviously money is a huge issue but Houston is so hell bent on expanding outward that the inner cores are neglected.
