  1. Gone as in demolished? I just moved from that area this wknd.
  2. I just hope they tie it in well for pedestrians, especially considering the development around it. Even the newest developments do a poor job, like the Sawyer Heights/Yale shopping areas. I mean they're walkable, but not what they could be.
  3. Can the mods merge this topic with he original thread, I couldn't find it. https://www.chron.com/life/food/article/The-end-is-nigh-for-El-Tiempo-s-oldest-Montrose-13087994.php?ipid=hpctp
  4. I think the orientation of the building is what I love the most! It's something different for a change!
  5. So glad they're addressing the exterior issues! This is going to be beautiful.
  6. I'm not knocking the development but why is everyone so excited about this? It looks just like a typical shopping center with a parking lot in the front.

  8. I think what I'm most happy about is the fact that this building will get some much needed TLC. It seemed like Spaghetti Warehouse didn't do much to maintain the exterior of the building. I expect something very nice to compliment the Sunset Coffee building. Now let's save the Kirby House!

  10. Ahh ok and is there any more word on the Frost Town excavation?
  11. So is anything replacing this? I'm confused as to why they're removing it
  12. I swear if this city doesn't get this mess in Midtown under control I'm going to lose my mind. I recently got in to it with a homeless man in the area because I didn't want to give him money. Long story short I told him to go **** himself.
  13. I'm not sure how many stories the one at 3300 Main and the other 2 getting built by the Midtown park are but if this is any indication of their overall scale, then that will be impressive once they finish
  14. Based off of this building you get a good sense of the size of what's going on in Midtown.
  15. Went to Caracol in thr BBVA Compass building and Uptown is looking amazing! The new sidewalks, etc is really going to tie the area together. This development by McNair will really be icing on the cake.
  16. Once Westheimer is finished, the ability to walk from one end of the city to the other will be awesome! Now if they can do the same for Richmond Ave that would be great! Wasn't their word of making Richmond BRT?
  17. I'm simply speaking about how they are slowly building very cohesive development one after the other that's really starting to connect their neighborhoods. I also noticed fewer parking lots in many areas.
  18. Let's just pray they make it PEDESTRIAN! I just came back from dallass and let me tell you that they are doing a solid job building for PEDESTRIANS! It felt like a different city from just 10 years ago when I lived there.
  19. So they're building a pedestrian path from the Galleria to the park to connect the area?
  20. Maybe it seems small because they aren't building from the ground up, just renovating
  21. Well at least they're prepping the building for a tenant.
