  1. I guess the silver lining is that they're making progress lol From what I can expect, it seems as though they're knocking out the big stuff first before moving to the more retail focused developments.
  2. Woah this is HUGE! Can we get a new thread for just that?
  3. I was just about to say that. The power washing is to keep the powder from floating around.
  4. Damn this is completely unacceptable by the COH. Well overdue in mandating that the property owners maintain their property.
  5. Well then I pray it doesn't get demolished and still renovated. If everything stalled to redevelop then I'm afraid there was no desired use for the current structure.
  6. It looks like they are doing asbestos abatement first. I did work like this on the old courthouse downtown.
  7. Damn removing the cladding alone makes the neighborhood feel better.
  8. I'm so excited about this. What are the chances a light rail line goes straight there or an extension of the Green line?
  9. Hopefully this forces Upper Kirby District to build wider sidewalks from Kirby to the park. The foot traffic at Market Square Park gets crazy with Niko Nikos. There's just no way a restaurant like that can survive without good sidewalks.
  10. Wow that's bs on their part. From what I gathered all this time is that most of these roads are funded and just needed to go through the right channels before construction. West Alabama was supposed to start late last yr. Where the hell is all this money going from 2017 till 2022?
  11. I love how we still have a nice city grid from downtown thru Midtown
  12. I'm still trying to wrap my head around why this building was every covered up. A little TLC and this thing is going to be beautiful!
  13. Plus I've been seeing the national media give our city a fair shake finally! They are seeing how great of a city Houston is.
  14. I hope something similar happens to the Atlantic Coffee factory in the East End
  15. This is great news for Amtrak. I have always admired how the East Coast takes full advantage of their Amtrak station.
  16. The Heights is blowing up with good quality development. Beautiful to witness.
  17. I'm excited about this development. I can't believe how fast this area is changing.
  18. I've reported the same issue 3 times now. It seems like some of the people in the MMD are clueless as to what their own neighborhood looks like. I had to explain in great detail the sidewalk I was referring to and they were still confused about what I was talking about. Idk what's so hard about noticing a muddy path or maybe it's that they don't see an issue with it.
