  1. They haven't announced any buildings going up as of yet, they are currently working on the infrastructure for the project such as roads and utilities. I read in a Bisnow article that Ryan McCord said that a office building would be announced this fall, its suppose to be something that has never been built in Houston before. Also FMC Technologies purchased 173 acres within the Generation Park development this year so hopefully they will break ground on something soon. I imagine it will be some type of HQ or corporate campus since its such a large purchase. Seriously doubt it will be that many, the majority of the trees on the site are pine trees planted by McCord. The project seems like it will have a very wooded setting so I think they will only take out the trees that have to come out to build. Ryan McCord compares it to The Woodlands alot so i'm sure it will have alot of trees.
  2. Well since it is being remodeled and not being developed into a midrise, sounds like just gossip.
  3. I don't think it will have much effect on the mall, those town center type of developments and malls usually have different type of stores.
  4. The Mix would have been a really nice development for the Midtown if it was completely built out like that, only one section was completed with the 24 hour fitness on the top floor. The sites where the post oak tower & 1600 west loop south building were proposed, are currently on the market so hopefully developers will buy them and build towers.
  5. I don't think the M59 or the West Ave phase II are cancelled, they just haven't developed yet.
  6. I wonder if this was planned for downtown ? If so it would be nice if it came back to life with the incentives program.
  7. It would be pretty amazing if the memorial city area developed like that.
  8. It will be 1.1 million sq ft and take 36 Months to build. http://www.bizjournals.com/houston/blog/drilling-down/2013/07/phillips-66-releases-details-of-new-hq.html
  9. More renderings. Looks like construction will begin at the end of this year. http://swamplot.com/the-latest-leaked-rendering-of-the-new-phillips-66-global-headquarters-in-westchase/2013-07-22/
  10. Try this link . . . I hope it works. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/Project-aims-at-ultra-rich-wanting-to-live-smaller-4676395.php?cmpid=btfpm
  11. I agree, I cant wait for that property to be redeveloped. I just hope it wont be a 5 story apartment building, unless it is above retail or commercial. Mixed use would be great on that site, especially it had some height to it. The views would be amazing.
  12. Looks like the soil test have been done on the site, according to this article. So at-least the project s still moving forward. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/Project-aims-at-ultra-rich-wanting-to-live-smaller-4676395.php
  13. New townhouse community being built at the intersection of San Felipe and Revere. Will be 10 four story townhouses ranging in size from 5,000 square feet to 7,800 square feet and start at $2.2 million. Going up right across from the Winfield Gate townhouse development which started construction some time last year. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/Project-aims-at-ultra-rich-wanting-to-live-smaller-4676395.php
  14. I actually like Uptown Park the way it is. Its great that the area is densifying but i wish some of the other more mundane shopping centers along Post Oak would be redeveloped first before Uptown Park. Especially the two huge shopping centers across from each other on Westheimer and Post Oak, and the one across the street from BLVD Place.
  15. I hope they build something attractive on that site to boost that area, I was just saying to myself yesterday that this portion of Uptown isn't very attractive.
  16. I was excited about the idea of The Woodlands getting a 35-40 story highrise for Shell because it would have helped develop the already existing skyline in The Woodlands, but wow way up at the camp strake site I'm kinda disappointed about that.
  17. Yep its under construction. Im not sure what floor they are up to but if you check the BLVD Place topic under Going Up, you can see it in SkylineView's pics. It is 29 stories.
  18. Under Construction 1. Skyhouse 2. The Sovereign 3. The Ashby High Rise 4. 2929 Weslayan 5. Hanover Post Oak in BLVD Place 6. Whiteco tower-may be completed I think these will break ground soon 7. Astoria 8. Belfiore Rumored 9. Hines Downtown 10. Hines Museum District 11. Texaco building renovation and construction of 38 story tower.
  19. Maybe the name of that apartment building (Canal Place) speaks to the future of the project. I mean there is no canal anywhere near the building so why would they name it Canal Place. Perhaps they know that the south canal will be built and they named the building accordingly.
  20. I see quite a few new town home developments going up on the east side of main in midtown, but the only thing I see going up on the west side of main in midtown are apartment complexes. People are complaining about renters on the east side but that's all that's going in on the westside. So what's the difference between the renters on either side of main ?
