DrLan34
3001 Main may be renovated soon for Crime Stoppers of Houston. There is a variance request set for consideration on January 23, 2014. The added security will be good for the area and there is a courtyard extension along Main Street. This should flow nicely with the Superblock Park. http://crimestoppershouston.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html "Crime Stoppers of Houston is engaged in a capital campaign to fund the purchase and the renovation of 3001 Main. Once complete, 3001 Main will be transformed into a state-of-the-art headquarters. A law enforcement strategy and call center, advanced media center, and 20,000 square feet of offices will create a hub for crime prevention now and in the future." Texasota
yeah that courtyards not doin much for me. especially fenced.better than a parking lot aesthetically, but not really in terms of use.
Houston19514
^ Fencing it on 2 sides seems a little odd.
Naviguessor
Looks to me as if the fencing will be around the entire property, including the parking lot.

H-Town Man
Going to take awhile to overcome the dead zone in this section of Main, 3000 to 3300 blocks, and the plans for the Superblock aren't really going to help. The area south of this should become something nice though.

H-Town Man
Building looks nice but this is kind of American... big amazing park is coming across the street, but we need to have our own little park with a fence around it.

phillip_white
I like the new rendering much more than the original. I'm disappointed that Crime Stoppers is basically putting up a fence to prevent crime. They out of everyone should know that crime prevention comes from an active and engaged community not a fence. They might as well build a wall and a moat.
Moore713
I like it will blend well with the new buildings, was worry it was going to be some bland, office type...this looks like if they ever want to move ,they could sell it to a buyer on converting to loft style Edited October 30, 2015 by Moore713
