  1. I usually just give police the secret "white guy american citizen" sign, and I am on my way within a couple of minutes.
  2. Try Time Warner, they DO sell the coax cable by the foot and they will even put the ends on for you. Apparently you have a budget, but that copper cable ain't cheap.
  3. Great job on that photoshop................ j/k.
  4. I have haggled at Gallery Furniture for years. Have only bought a couple of items, of which only ONE I actually still possess. A giant 7FT. Mexican Pine armoir, I bought about 12 years ago. They wanted $995 back then. I got it for $600 DELIVERED !!! Those days are gone but you got some "wiggle room". Rooms To Go seems to have some decent stuff these days also. Here is an instructional video, explaining "wiggle room".
  5. Not to mention that, with the foam, if there is a hailstorm and you get a damaged roof, you will NEVER be able to tell where the problem lies.
  6. Here is the product and the website for it. It is called E-Shield. There is also Eagleshield, which is pretty much the same stuff. I have seen the product in action first-hand, and I believe it actually does what it claims. http://www.eshield.net/science.html http://www.eagleshield.com/Products-Services.htm
  7. If it is "spray on" radiant barrier, then NO. I have a new radiant barrier product coming out very soon, I will get you the name for it today, it DOES work but is a little more pricey than $1400 but I believe they give you (in writing) a guarantee to save a minimum of 25% on your electric bill. Ridge vents work excellent as long as you have the soffet vents as was explained earlier. You have to calculate the cost with how much you are gonna save and how soon will you recoup the money spent.
  8. Happy B-day oldman.

  9. I totally agree and witnessed it first hand last week when I took my daughter to NASA. I was very thankful that the NEW NASA Rd. 1 interchange was open and I got to bypass that whole mess going in, going back to Houston is another story. It was during the downpour last Saturday (not this past one) and made it twice as bad I think.
  10. Hmmmmmmmm, who knew dogcatcher was a race ?
  11. You would think that the sign would be in Espanol, so that the majority of the people she is intending it for could at least have half a chance at reading it. I don't think she thought this all the way through.
  12. I'll bet Farrakhan was pissed off about this photo after he found out who she was.
  13. Arm & Hammer Deodorant. Unfortunately I think they have stopped making it. Target nor Walmart carry this anymore. OH!!!! ....and Redscare SWEARS by this stuff. I don't know what he is using it for, but he said it works. I take him at his word.
  14. BUMP* For those former Rangers that lurk. We will have a little shindig at Kobain's friday July 17th,2009 starting at about 7pm. The swanky suare' will be at the Westin Galleria July 18th. You will have to pay for your tickets @ the door.
  15. Get over it ? Your right, "OJ was not a murder", just a murderer. Using your logic, MJ would be guilty as well. After all, OJ was exonerated, MJ was exonerated. If MJ gets a national holiday then Elvis should get one as well, wouldn't that be fair for the "King of Rcok & Roll", and Elvis isn't even self-proclaimed.
  16. How DARE you point out Iron Tiger's faux pas.......Geeeeeeezzzz, what a JERK !!!!
  17. Austin is very "livable". The Domain area is not a likely place to raise the Nuclear family of 4. More for the young hip Urban professional, (used to be a nickname for these people) like a Dellionaire or some software designer, but you gotta have some bucks to make it there. High-end joint. In terms of downtown development, Trae, you couldn't be more wrong. No less than 10 cranes downtown building projects right now, and they aren't malls or bars my friend. Mostly 10 to 20 story lofts trying to acomodate the influx of people slated NOT to be coming here. I would call it "upwards sprawl".

    Austin

Well, to be fair, alot of people take MoPac which is on the north side of the city that passes by Downtown. We also have a tollway loop that nobody uses. Alot of other people take Lamar in the morning. There is 183 also, where everyone points North an Northwest like Leander and Cedar Park travel in from to jump on Mopac. Still not nearly as bad as Houston in the morning.
  19. Sure Duet, O.J. was exonerated also, remember that.
  20. I have noticed from time to time that the Exxon station at 290 and Huffmeister will sometimes be $.30 cheaper than anyone around. Last time I remember is when gas was $2.71 and they were at $2.38. That http://www.houstongasprices.com/ is chock full of good people, they service the Austin area as well. I forgot about that website, thanks O'neal.
  21. Not suggestiong anyone drive out of their way, but it's strange. I saw gas in Giddings for $.25 cheaper per gallon than in Austin or Houston, and I saw the same thing in San Marcos and Cibolo, outside of San Antonio. It was only $2.28 a gallon.
  22. I had an appointment yesterday at some folks house who had the actual tile laid in the Capitol building before the last renovation. A nice looking Satillo all in their Billiard room.
  23. WOW! The only thing I will probably EVER agree with Nancy Pelosi over. Shelia Lee.........you are indeed a rare and delicate flower, but like a weed, you must be destroyed in order to save the rest of the garden !!! How could Shelia POSSIBLY even fathom that this resolution would ever have a chance ? http://www.examiner.com/x-704-Pop-Media-Examiner~y2009m7d10-Rep-Sheila-Jackson-Lee-determined-to-see-Michael-Jackson-resolution-through
  24. Yes, I can, a few years ago she had MJ and a few African Nationals in her office in Washington to discuss some type of......OH well, here's the story. http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-20894929_ITM BTW, I would love it if my daughter could have the same chance as Paris Jackson did, and at my funeral, be able to tell the WHOLE FRIGGIN' WORLD, what a great father I was and how much she loved me. I am soooo sad for her, I wish I could make Paris' pain go away. I don't know what to make of you MJ, but I hope you can rest in peace now, knowing that for all your troubles and all the speculation, that ONE person truly loved you, unconditionally.
