  1. This is what money and influence can do for you.
  2. Absolutely, and I like Faggins, I am glad he is on our team. I'll take him over 3/4 of the rest of the NFL in that position.
  3. Until that "matchup" causes you to go 14 points in the hole.
  4. All I'm saying is Dunta should have been on him the whole time, that is all I'm saying. It is simply my belief that Kubiak was giving Faggins a chance to shine, and he just isn't the caliber to hang with the Steve Smiths and Andre Johnsons of the NFL. I doubt Faggins will start against Harrington come next week. What say you ? The play you are talking about where Smith tipped that ball up, IMO, was not defended all that well. Faggins was clearly out of position to make any REAL play on the ball. He was facing Smith when he should have been turned around looking for the ball, instead, he tried to crane his neck at the last moment and falls down, while Smith tips it up and stays with it. It was a good play, but a lucky play on Smith's part.
  5. That's what I said. They have their positions, but the Carolina offense exploited the weakness and the Texans adjusted. I can't recall which particular plays Faggins got burned by Smith ( I think it was ALL of them), but Kubiak eventually saw it before it was too late.
  6. Both happened in this instance, it wasn't a lateral, he threw it through the back corner of the endzone. It was an obvious throw away. Nobody on the Texans side was disputing whether he threw it away, they were pointing out how Schaub was OUT of the pocket when he threw the ball. BTW, you missed a really good game CDeb.
  7. That call, I don't believe, is challengable. Schaub was clearly almost stepping on the hashmark when he threw the ball. It was just the reaction of the fans that forced the refs to throw the flag on that one, you saw that it took almost a minute to throw the flag. We dodged a bullet on that kickoff return though, the ref was right on top of that though, he immediately signaled that it was a hit to the shoulder. I would say the refs were on an even keel, just a little less than consistent on the day.
  8. The most important play of the game was Kubiak 's challenge of the "interception" down inside the 10. If that ball hadn't have hit the ground, the score may have been different. Kube is THE MAN !
  9. Well, we had to make the adjustment. Carolina knew that Faggins would be weak against Smith, so they were calling plays to capitalize on that. Yes, Faggins and Dunta have their positions, but Kubiak gave Faggins a chance, and Carolina capitalized and exploited the weakness early, but we caught it in time.
  10. That's why kubiak made the adjustment. He gave Faggins a chance and he couldn't deliver. Good caoching, good coaching.
  11. Indy is TOAST. Of course we are gonna lose a couple of games. We aren't the '72 Vikings or the '85 Bears. We are simply a young team with some explosive talent that has the absolute best coach to be able to bring that talent out of them. We have players that WANT to play for Kubiak. A quarterback that the offense respects, and a trio on defense that makes even the weaker players on our "D" look like probowlers right now. Need some work on Faggins, and some more O-line strength, other than that, the team looks pretty solid.
  12. Dallas blows Chunks, and I didn't even know they HAD a mascot ! Please go whine about Dallas somewhere else, this is the Texans thread, it's not about any other "team" or teams in the NFL. Texans only please. Texans = 2008 Playoffs.
  13. Nothing BAD? "Don't cash in your playoff tickets just yet." ? Yes, VERY positive there. It is the second week of the season, they can afford to drop one to the Panthers and still come out ok. Good thing you aren't a coach, ANYWHERE, your team would undoubtedly give up by halftime and wouldn't come out of the locker room for the second half.
  14. Is it possible for you to go BACK to Vegas now Mr. Fairweather ?
  15. Losing the Govenor's Cup AGAIN is still stinging huh ? That's too bad. Maybe next year Hom... I mean Romo, and the rest of your cowgirls will man up and be able to play against us.
  16. Ok Fellow Scouts. As promised, here are a few goodies from the 50's and 60's when my oldman was getting all his Merit Badges. I have the sash somewhere, when I find it, I will post it also. I am very proud of my Father for the time and effort he put in to this wonderful organization. I hope you like these rare items also. Sorry for the long post.
  17. Our defense looks pretty good right now. I wouldn't change a thing there, and just keep them moving forward.
  18. I will have a real treat for you guys tomorrow. I have some pictures that I will download onto here. I would do it today. Unfortunately, I am a knucklehead and left my camera at work, because I was taking pics there. It will be worth the wait though.
  19. I was in the Boy Scouts. I would have to pull out the uniform to tell you what Troop I was in. Kinda disappointed my father, I just never got into it like he had when he was a boy. My father was one of the youngest Eagle Scouts, getting his Eagle at age 13. Vertigo, I would start a new Topic on this.
  20. Just go see THIS guy. You'll thank me later. Gallery Furniture's Mattress Mac.
  21. Haven't you been going to 2 a days ?
  22. Won't Leona be spinnin' when her brother leaves the money for the 2 grandchildren that were cut out of the will ?
