lockmat
That is an old rendering. From a very reliable source. I think I speak for most when I say, thank goodness.

bobruss
Yes, I spoke to my source, who told me that the rendering we have been discussing this week, is an old rendering of the tower.

lockmat
Strange that the rendering doesn't depict their own project. The one shown is not nine stories.

Popular Post hysinger
I hate to create false hope, but I noticed activity at the site tonight on the way home. Looks like they are taking soil samples (company called Terracon) on the lot bounded by Allen Parkway, Dunlavy, W Dallas and Tirrell. Also, I noticed a banner attached to the fence on the lot across W Dallas for Morris (www.morris-hz.com). BigFootsSocks
With my limited experience in the engineering field, geotech results are usually taken a few months before construction begins, so good chance this starts up soon.
Triton
Out of all the projects coming to Houston, this has been my most anticipated one for so many years now.

Can you reveal where you read that? I figured this was coming but it seems odd given they were doing soil work just two weeks ago. Honestly, GID's philosophy with this property is hard to understand. They have now missed two real estate booms, and if they are canceling, will miss the third. This a prime property, about to get better with the renovation of buffalo bayou / allen parkway. Perhaps they will sell it so something can actually happen here. Edited August 19, 2015 by hysinger

I think subscribers can give a status update on projects, but I'm not sure the info shown is correct. As you said, soil samples were taken and an announcement was going to made on the next phase. hysinger
Soil samples could also be due diligence related to a sale I suppose

Luminare
Yeah I project of this size and scope getting cancelled surely would have made it on a few publications rather than just a newsletter

gregpet
We walked by the site this morning and there seems to be new survey stakes out (Allen Parkway & Dunlavy). I didn't remember seeing them previously. The stakes are also inside of the fence which I'll take as a good sign...
BigFootsSocks
Could be surveying the site for a possible sale.

There are definitely new flags there though. But you're right... some of them are inside the fence. I hope this thing happens... I really do.
