htownbro
It's about time. The exterior of the mall is horrendous and looks like a warehouse.

hindesky
https://preview.houstonchronicle.com/special-events/dig-world-a-construction-themed-adventure-park-16396031 Dig World, a construction-themed adventure park, is coming to Katy Kids and adults can safely operate real construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers and UTVs. Joey Guerra August 18, 2021Updated: August 18, 2021, 4:12 pm Parents, we've all had kids marvel when we've driven by construction sites, wishing they could operate the equipment. Here's your chance. Dig World, a construction-themed adventure park, is scheduled to open this fall in Katy. It will offer kids and adults to safely operate real construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers and UTVs through a partnership with Mustang Cat. Kids and heavy machinery! What could go wrong? Co-founder Jacob Robinson wants "to create memorable experiences for families that last a lifetime as well as educate the next generation about construction and all the possibilities that surround that industry." Dig World will include a playground, gem-mining station, turf field with yard games and more. It will be located adjacent to Katy Mills Mall on a 3.5 acre site. Dig World also plans to host field trips, birthday parties and corporate outings. Texas A&M University's Department of Construction Science will provide educational materials. Dig World plans to expand across the country over the next two years. You can follow progress on Instagram or the park site. https://www.instagram.com/digworldtx/ https://www.digworldtx.com

hindesky
https://slickcity.com "At the Jan. 19 State of the City address, Katy officials announced Slick City Action Park will come to Katy Mills fall 2023. Mayor William “Dusty” Thiele—alongside City Administrator, Byron Hebert—broke the news about the new indoor slide and sports court park coming to 5000 Katy Mills Circle, Katy, between economic and development updates about the city. According to a Jan. 19 press release for the park, Slick City features indoor slides without water and air courts for all ages, and is the first iteration of the business in Texas. Slick City will join Dig World and Typhoon Texas as the newest theme park at or near Katy Mills." https://communityimpact.com/houston/katy/arts-entertainment/2023/01/19/slick-city-indoor-slide-park-coming-to-katy-mills-this-fall/
