Aren't tornados more of a threat in Dallas then in the Woodlands? They are much more devastating to homes than a typical hurricane and a falling pine tree or two. I guess I'm just inclined to look for and prevent problems rather than deal with them later. Tornados are more of a threat in the Dallas area, however the reason we usually leave the area during a hurricane is just that...the tornados they spawn. Compare with the Dallas Morning News or any other major city newspaper not owned by Hearst (hell, the Star-Telegram is light years ahead). So, I respectfully disagree. Every major metro paper is much worse than it was 20-30 years ago, except for the 2 or 3 national papers. I would gladly trade today's Chronicle for the mid-90's Chronicle, which wasn't a great paper either, but it had vastly more information than today, and the classifieds were interesting.
